-------------

|

ok to get the ticker you need to go and make one if you click on mine it will take you to the site then useing the code starting with URL copy and paste it into your singniture in your profile hope that make scence. I am not in Auckland so not too sure what they have in the way of coffee groups, but when you do your antinatal classes you should meet heaps of people all dure the same time as you.
I am the 15th very excited this will be our second child.
HAve a great christmas all.

For the ticker you need the code that starts with the square brackets --> [ .... ] not the pointy ones --> < ... > and that should solve your problem.
And unfortunately for me I skipped right to the second page of this thread, but a coffee group sounds great ! This is our first baby too, so I think it's a wonderful idea. I'm in Mt Wellington, but willing to travel. Mind you, this would have to be when I get back from Canada !

Chonny - I'm due July 8th, so a winter baby for us, and our first child as well.
Maya - I've only just experienced that metallic taste thing recently, and its disgusting !! Reminds me of blood, and I hate that. Not feeling constantly sick though, which is nice, although my appetite has changed significantly.

LOL Lizzle! I have told her, butI'm not sure she really understands. Every night we say our prayers and we say "God Bless Big Girl Maya and the baby in Mama's puku" and she tells me baby is a 'sister', but that's the only mention bubs gets.
As for the morning sickness, I spoke too soon - this afternoon it arrived with a vengeance. I haven't actually been sick yet, but the smell of Mum and Dad's chinese leftovers at lunch nearly made me chuck, and all afternoon I have been feeling queasy and yuck, and the metallic taste in my mouth is making it water non stop. Happy days.

It eased up for a couple of days, but is back hard now. Tonight not too bad, but sundya night, man! It was horrible! I haven't had that metallis taste yet but a freind of mine did. She said it was like a coin in your mouth too. Alan Mum, be glad you don't have the sore boobs! Mine are horrible at night as i fall asleep in one position then when i roll over during the night, i wake in agony coz they have had to move. I envy you dude.
Well, must go, getting late,

I am also due in August, around the 28th. The doctor made an appointment for me to do a scan as he wasnt sure of the dates. I went to the scan and they could only see the gestational sac and no fetal pole as yet. The lady said it was just too early to see. I did freak though. Go back next week. Congrats to you. Take care.

Hey Preggy Sunflower (it feels odd calling you that, but I can't recall if I've ever seen your real name on here?).
I was wondering, when are you supposed to start antenatal classes, and which community centre are yours at? Onehunga isn't far for me at all, I live sort of at the 'bum end' of Mt Welly, near Otahuhu as well. Also, how much do they cost?

Deborah - really sorry to hear your sad news re your MIL. Hope you are doing ok. Will be thinking of you.
Jax - My name is Clare I'm doing my antenatal classes at the Onehunga Community Centre, and they start on the 17th Jan (next Tuesday). I think they cost $25.00 They are run by Birthcare - give them a call, mebbe you can come along to the same class as me?? Oh, hang on I think you are still in Canada???
And Chonny - I wish I could give you the secret to getting rid of MS, but alas, if I knew I'd be a happier (and richer!!) woman I'm still getting sick, nothing much eases it at all. I'm down near the Harbour in Onehunga. Are you from the 'hood too???

-------------

|
Posted By: Alan Mum
Date Posted: 27 January 2006 at 10:10am
really just talk to you and stuff oh you have to pee on a stick to check if there is protine in the pee they also check you blood pressure. also depending on how far youy are they may try to find the heart beat but looking at you ticker you just might be able to hear it. I love my midwife so she jsut comes and chats to us alot about anything she is like part of the family which is really what you want. Make sure you are comfortable with her if not then change it is so improtant that you are happy and like her you can change at anytime, but be aware in some areas it is hard to find a midwife in later stages.
Oh well good luck with everything.
