my doctor upped my blood pressure meds, on monday, but didnt inform me of the side effects or what to look out for....side effects, extreme tiredness, headache, nausea (all of which i have), also wasnt told not to take with multivits, iron tablets or food as it hinders the absorption so of course ive been doing all 3...my fing doctor knows im trying to get pregnant and that i need to get my bp under control, but he just doesnt seem to care, and i cant change doctors as no one around here is taking on new clients...im so pissed at the moment

Oh Kaz thats really bad on your dr's side. If they know you are TTC you would think that they would help you out.

I'm glad I have a supportive dr.

That sucks Kazzle

I have a similar story, my kids both get wee skin infections under their necks and nappy rash cream clears it up fine but the dr gave me some other cream when Jack was a baby. Last week I went in to get some more (cos it gets used quite often) and was told not to use it too much because it thins the skin. I was so mad, why was i not told this 2 years ago

Kazzle if you dont mind me asking (and I wont mind you telling me to back off and that is too personal and you can pm me if you dont want to say on the board.) but what is your BP at the moment? In what range?

Or if you dont want to say the exact number is it the top one or the bottom one that is really high? and is your top one over 140 or the bottom one over 90?

Reason why I ask is when I once was on the pill it went sky high for me anyway. Like 150 over 95 but at like 130 over 90 I already got symptomatic with nose bleeds and headaches at the back of my head ect so I have to be carefull. When I went of the pill it stayed high (but that was due to stress.)

The BP medication didnt work for me at all but what we did is went natural stuff and used herbs and spices and changes some stuff around in my diet and you wont believe how fast it came down. I can give you some tips that you can use and see if it helps you at all as well. Might help you. (even if you are still on the medication.)

And please feel free to tell me to back off and you just want sympathy as I can give you that too.
