I dont know what to do....Rhiannon is in mummystouch nappies, and lately cos she has been drinking so much due to the heat, the nappies are leaking within 2 hours, no matter how many inserts i use or dont use...i dont really want to go back to sposies, but im at my wits end, i am going through 5-6 pairs of shorts or trousers a day due to the leakage, and my washing is just getting stupid.
any ideas?

Maybe your inserts need to be stripped..
Daniel is a super pee'er but 2 microfibre inserts does him during the day.

i only stripped them like 2 mths ago...hmmm might do it again tomorrow.
I use 1 microfibre insert and 1 hemp insert.

are you putting the hemp in furtherest away from her body cause its not a fast absorber... and check the nappy itself isnt repelling the liquid as it may just be that that needs stripping not the inserts.

We are having a similar problem and after a bout of nappy rash I have gone to changing Tom at his night feed.....and lately I am getting leaks as well! We used to go 12 hours with no leaks. Bloody annoying

Strip all of the above.
I found that after a long period of constant use that I needed to strip them more often... as in once a month or so... or atleast a hot wash once a couple of weeks which would mean the naps went further between strips.

Are the inserts soaked right through? If they are then they don't need a strip, and you need to add more/change your combo/try something else.

With Rhiannon both inserts are completely soaked, but she is only leaking around the leg area, not anywhere else.

You may have to try a different combo then if they are soaked.

Could it be the fit around the legs then? Could her clothes be too tight around leg casings causing wicking?

i'd say if the inserts are soaked then you need more absorbency..
