Has anyone tried this?
Another random, unimportant topic! I got given some samples and from what I can tell it is essentially 100% chemicals. I tried some today but I must say I was disappointed and felt quite reluctant to try it given the list of chemicals. I thought clinique was a fancy expensive brand but I don't see what is fancy about all those parabens etc. The samples I got are supposidly mild but my skin has gone a little red in places and doesn't feel comfe. ------------- Mummy to Gabrielle and Ashley |

I use clinique and I LOVE it. My skin was terrible, and I didn't take care of it at all, so I basically stopped at the first counter at the pharmacy so I can't compare with anything else. It did work quickly to fix my problem areas and within a few days my skin was much softer. That said, it isn't for everyone. ------------- ">

I use their skin smoother make up and powder- which I find really good. I also use their UV response facial sunscreen, a pore minimiser refiner and shine controller. I find them brilliant for my skin (hence why I pay the ridiculous prices!)- but like any brand I think it totally depends on the person & their skin type. I react badly to anything from Lancome or Estee Lauder so I just steer clear of them.

I use their sunscreen and recently got their foundation and I adore of those. I never ever wore foundation but I had an urge to own some for special occassions and it's been great. The city block suncream is excellent too.
I guess because I love those 2 products I wanted the rest of the range to me great for me too. I hear so many people raving about it so it must be good but I was surprised by the list of ingreds. ------------- Mummy to Gabrielle and Ashley |

did you get the mild one for sensitave skin? Perhaps it really isn't for you. My sis has to use 2 different brands for her 3 step as the toner just doesn't work for her skin. ------------- ">

I've used Clinique and found it OK but not amazing. In fact I've probably tried everything under the sun - from the Simple brand at the supermarket, thru Dior and Lancome and Estee Lauder, to Creme de la Mer 
I've been using Chanel for a while and find it quite good. I'd say stick with whatever you're happy with - I have sensitive skin and end up with all sorts of problems when trying on new things. ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

IMO I think all the products you can buy over the counter are mostly chemicals...if you can't eat it, why put it on your skin as your skin soaks it up and it winds up going into your system one way or the other. I have been using this product...

I use Clinique and have for years... I love it but not the over the top chemicals I'm thinking when it comes to renew bottles I might go for something a bit more natural.
ETA - Rinse-off foaming cleanser is my fav... and the DDML too.

| I used Clinique for a while, but have moved to something more natural as don't like all the chemicals in their products like you said, did find it good though, but prefer Living Nature products, everything is natural, and as a bonus is made in New Zealand, and the service from their webpage is awesome. Living Nature is quite nice and I might try it again once my current stuff runs out (mainly 'cause it's cheaper). I didn't find it overly good when I was a teen as I had a few issues with my skin but now I'm older it might be more effective.
TBH, I'm meant to use the number 2 range of clinique but I used a number 3 cleanser this morning and I think that is what caused the redness...it was too harsh for my sensitive skin. ------------- Mummy to Gabrielle and Ashley |

| just a bit off the topic but can anyone recommend a good light foundation? my skin is really red and blotchy all the time and now Im gonna be working in a professional office again i really should make an effort with makeup but hate heavy obvious foundations yet need good coverage for the redness. what do you guys all use? |

Clinique super balance foundation is so good! I got a brush to apply it with (from the chemist) and it is amazing! So natural and light and my skin has been better since I've had it! I got given Clinique moisturiser and it caused me to break out in little raised bumps on my cheeks.
I use Clarins now and I love love it. (though I may have to kiss it goodbye while we're on one income). -------------
