I don't think I've ever had a rash before but this morning I woke up and realised I was scratching my forearm. There are lots and lots of tiny red dots on both my forearms and they are reeeeeeeeeeeeeally itchy.

Any idea what this could be? Healthline couldn't help...just said see doc within 2 weeks. I'm supposed to go to work this morning but don't want to if I could be contagious.

I have no other symptoms...other than a mild feeling that I'm getting a cold (Elle and DH are both sick with colds).

Have you been in the garden??? I have been getting something from doing the weeding did some last night and woke this morning with some spots arrggh they are just annoying but go within a few days. I would go to the doc if they aren't gone in a few days but if they are really sore or itchy would prob go today

Nope, no gardening, no new washing powders or soaps (well I tried something different on my face but nothing on my arms or body).

Yeah I was going to say the same thing. I sometimes get what is called an anxiety rash.
Its lots of little raised red dots that itch like crazy and are generally on the forearms.
It usually goes away on its own after a few hours but can sometimes last a day or two.
Calamine or similar is good on it for the itch.

Ugh, I have that on my forearms from time to time, it's called pityriasis versicolor and I just started getting it one day. Very itchy and teeny wee red dots on my fore arms (the non-hair part) and on my tummy. I got prescribed a lotion and some antihistamines by my Dr, you need to see him just to double check though. Mine gets bought on by my skin being dehydrated from certain perfumes/lotions and heat or sweat.
