My son is now 2months and nine days old,i am breastfeeding and was just wondering-
when did all your ladies period return? i honestly thought it would have come by now...

Hmmmm it's been 8 1/2 month and counting now for me, still bf and still no af.

It's not a reliable contraceptive but while you're exclusively bf (no formula or solids) your chances of getting pg are very slim. -------------  |

I didn't get mine back until a year later with my son, and got it after 3 months with my daughter. I bf both.

I got mine back both times the month after I stopped bf them. Trust me it is great not having it. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

mine came back at around 8 months and i only bf until 6 months. enjoy it while it lasts...
it is not a trustworthy contraceptive so i will use protection if i where you. you also get a pill - Microval - that is safe for bf. you just need to take it at exactly the same time every day. i had to set an alarm to remember LOL ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I can't remember how long mine took to arrive back but I think around 6 months?? Though seriously, using breastfeeding as a contraception is the method many large families used! It only decreases your chances of getting pregnant. ------------- Andie |
