BS, we are similar this year. Although I don't have everything my heart desires I can't think of anything I actually want (apart from a little treasures subscription, although that seems to be falling on deaf ears!).
I have just told people that i want vouchers so that when I do see something a bit down the track I can just go and buy it then!
Dh and I are going to go visit Michael Hill on Boxing day to get me a new wedding band in the 50% off sales. Mine is buggered after letting them try and repair it twice!!!

oh no for ring being buggered but YIPPPEEE to going to MH sales!!!
yeah maybe i just need to be given a loaded credit card....LMAO!!! you know go through stages of needing stuff and then needing nothing really.....
I dont have ALL my heart desires....but then I also am not a frilly fussy person who needs all the pretties etc in life....I have all the basics of living...ugh ugh ugh....i bet i get vouchers like last year that i never used!

Yeah BS, I have some of those vouchers too
People have learnt now. They give me either Michael Hill or Noel Leemings vouchers. I can't get enough of either jewellery or appliances

Yep I'm the same can't think of a single thing that I want, ended up telling DH I would like to get the dog spayed for xmas!!!! She is booked in on Monday....lol
Have told family not to bother we just end up exchanging vouchers and then I can never be bothered going and spending them and if they send cash it just ends up getting spent on everyday stuff. I don't have everything but I also don't really not have anything that I want. (OMG how bad was that English?)

That is a good idea.

mum does that - she has basically fed an entire village from one goat she bought on oprahs angel network a few years back! I tried setting DH up aguide dog puppy sponsorship a few years back but lady running it messed up the bank accounts etc so gave up on that idea months after trying!
so far one present i have receive this year - a pair of xmas socks from USA!
im not trying to sound ungrateful but i feel like i need to give some direction but just dont know....might ask for vouchers or pressie cards....warhouse might be good....or farmers...they get used on ella for sure then!

Why don't you say no pressies this year then? There is no point just being given something for the sake of it??? Now I have a child, I think Xmas is all about them and birthdays are about you

Ohhh those look really cool!!
You could maybe do what my immed family does - there are my parents and 2 sis and their hubbys plus me and DH. We draw names out of a hat and buy for 1 person to the value of $50. We generally say what we want. Then we all have a pressie to open on Xmas Day. But we buy for the nieces and nephews though. It works really well in our family

Maybe you don't need anything more for yourself? Afterall, Christmas isn't really about presents. It's a time of rememrance and a time to be with friends and family and be grateful for what you have.
Maybe you could get your hubby to buy some gifts for children via world vision on your behalf (e.g. a goat..LOL, or school books or medicine).
Or maybe you could do something special as a family or for someone else rather than buying something material?
You are very blessed so maybe blessing others would give you a greater sense of joy than any new possession?
Sorry - I sound boring I know! My sisters passing has really reminded me of what is important in life and that is the way we reach out and impact those around us.

Does anyone know where you can get new perfume, an iPod or a car for $20?! That's our limit this year as we just do token gifts to say 'merry xmas'. I'd be happy with anything, especially to be able to afford a haircut or some new clothes!

I got my mum and dad to send me money for my birthday so I could get my hair done and DH bought me a new pair of trainers....its an exciting life you lead when you have a baby (or are expecting one shortly)

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my car severly needed a W.O.F (2 months overdue!!!) and a service. So Mum asked what Tom and I wanted for xmas, and I said, a car that runs safely. And that's what we got early. We have been offered a new washer and dryer, but I said next year will be okay. Mums eh?

Ooo I like the idea of someone paying for my hair to get done! The MIL mentioned something the other day about my BIL getting me a voucher for something like that as payback for all we've done for him. Might have to mention the hair thing. Thanks cuppatea for the suggestion! That's something I'd love.

Emz, my mum does that. She has paid for my WW for the past few months as she gave the first 12 meeting to me as a gift as I had made the decision to lose the weight and then for my birthday she gave me money and that went towards more meeting tickets and xmas she gave me some more money but this time I got me some stuff I really wanted for the garden.

If it was me right now i'd ask for
1. A voucher for a haircut at my salon (costs around $100)
2. Salon sized bottles of my shampoo (Kerastase Oleo Relax, mmmmm)
3. Expensive new oversized handbag (for all my books when i'm studying next year)
4. Laptop bag (to go with the new laptop I would ask for LOL!!)
In lieu of the Fanuary thread, perhaps DH could get you a voucher for that Brazilian
