Ok. I want some honest opinions....Do I really look like I'm nearly ready to have my baby???? I have had a lot of jokes about how I must be having twins or that I'm lying about my due date.
I donn't think I look that big? But even my fiancee reckons I look pretty far along! I'm only just 4 months pregnant, or 18 weeks so not even half way yet.

I couldn't remember which one makes the picture show... Hopefully you can see one of them anyway!

Really? Wow I couldn't imagine being much bigger at only 18 weeks. I guess I'm just stressing because I don't remember looking so obviously pregnant at the same stage last time with Alex, and he was 9 pound 2.

First of all, I think your figure looks wonderful, and I love the top you are wearing in that photo! Secondly, I reckon you'd probably look a lot more 'round' if you were further along / closer to your due date - although it's not like I speak from experience, just a feeling really, and also I do realise that womens bellies can be vastly different at different stages so yeah. I think some people can just be outright rude ! Maybe they've never really had to deal with someone being so obviously pregnant around them, which is a shame really.

hi Toni

I found myself looking more pregnant earlier with B2 as well. Now, with just a fwe weeks to go thouhg, I don't think I am much bigger than I was with jake. I think at about 30 weeks, the tummy growth stopped being so much more than before - if that makes sense!

Thanks Aimee I'm hoping for no problems with my ribs this time too! Bubs is moving around heaps but kind of harder to feel than Alex was, I think because this time my placenta is in front this time.
Thank you Jax! Its lovely having a compliment like that. They have been very few & far between lately. The most I ever get from Spencer is "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm big belly....". I don't think most people mean to be rude (although I have had a couple of nasty comments about how close together my babies will be), usually the people who comment on my tummy are little old ladies at the supermarket.
I'm hoping I don't get as big as I was last time because last time I physically couldn't drive for the final 4 weeks. Couldn't reach with my feet unless I squished my tummy in tightly

I'm only just six weeks and I already have a sticky outy tummy - but that's probably a combination of too much Xmas dinner and retaining fluid!

But it is common to be bigger earlier second time around, and it doesn't neccessarily mean bubs will be bigger either. Lots of the Mum's here have had smaller bubs second time round.

I think your baby belly is cute!

take a look at this site - it has awesome pics of womans tummys at every week of gestation. Its great to compare how you look to how others look at the same time - i was really surprised at how big some woman are earlier on. And remember the more babies you've had the bigger you will be earlier - just enjoy!!!

Hi toniellis i was about your size at 4mths preg with twins and ppl went on about how big i was (i didnt know i was having twins until 5mths) and i used to get snotty with them cos i didnt think i was too bad but then i woman i used to work with was pregy at same time and she was tiny all over so i guess they compared us. You so have to look at that above site cos that are sooooo many diff tummies. some woman barely with a tum at 26 weeks and others looking heaps further along at 16 weeks or so. its so amazing to see all the diff tummies and should make you feel better and maybe you need to get your other half to have a look.
Anyway i think you have a beautiful belly and look great

I had a look at that site & it was great! Made me feel alot better.
My friend Amber is due 5 weeks before me & its been a bit awful because I'm looking alot bigger than her. But its only her first compared to my second so it makes sense I suppose.

Feeling ALOT better after hearing from everyone so thanks. I will be 20 weekson friday & I have an anatomy scan on Monday so fingers crossed I can find out if I'm having a boy or girl. I really want a little girl, then that will be it for me, no more babies....Unless we have a boy in which case we will have another go in a few years.
I can't wait until Monday! Please please baby don't cross your legs!

I ate heaps at lunch today and looked about 5 months preggo again (damn stretched belly) and Zeke kept joking about it. Wasn't impressed. He stopped when I told him to shut up or it might really happen I'm so mean!

Hope the babe co operates at the scan!

Thanks Nikki! Yes very convenient Hoping this baby is a bit smaller so he can fit the newborn clothes that Alex never fit. Fingers crossed anyway!

I think I will wait to see how I cope with two before trying again Knowing my luck I would end up with a little rugby team of boys Yikes!!

I was told about the lady who had the first NZ baby for 2006. She has decided not to have any more kids as "ten is enough"....hmmmm, yes, I may draw the line before ten however. Lewis keeps threatening to have a soccer team, although now he said a sevens team is okay too. how nice of him.

I used to want a rugby team, then went down to a soccer team, then a sevens... now I am happy with a little Golf player, LMAO!!!!

my friends cousin always wanted a girl, she had a boy when she was 18 and she and the dad married when their son was 7 and had another baby-a boy, then when that son was 5months she got pregnant again and the scan said girl-yay!! exciting buy the pink clothes etc- then she gave birth and,oh look- another boy, then she fell pregnant again and yep u guessed it another boy!

So 4 boys-very goodlooking lovely boys and no daughter-and she didnt want anymore-then one day she felt sick and went to the doc and yep! pregnant again....had a scan and lo and behold-twins!! had the babies a wee lovely little boy and ......finally....a girl!

makes me laugh-she still had to have a boy in order to have a girl.....who as u can imagine has her brothers wrapped around her little finger
