OK there was a warning

I got AF back 3 months ago. 1st month it was heavy and really long but kindas normal for first AF after having a baby and getting it back so long after having baby.

2nd month (last month) it was a dream AF no pains quite short and light, something weird for me not to have any pain as it took me by surprise.

Now I have 3rd month and she came a week early and it is really heavy again (i'm on CD3 and still needed super size tampons and changing them every 1 1/2 and overnight for the first time for as long as I can remember I woke up soaked ) and i'm quite sore (i've had to take drugs for it).

I'm going to see my dr this afternoon for a list of things and i'm thinking that maybe my endo has come back. Does it sound like something is wrong with me inside??

I have a strong family history of endo (as in my sisters, my mum, my aunties, my female cousins all have it) and some of us also are "lucky" enough to have PCOS as well.

I wanted to have an IUD put in but i'm not allowed one as it would cause more bleeding and I don't qualify for a Mirena (but I may do in a different way if I get it through my Gyne), but I need something (other than the pill - hate it with a great passion) to get things under control other than a radical historectomy as I really want to have another baby before that has to happen.

My periods were heaps heavier after I had Ella. 8-10 days and the first 3-4 were aways very heavy, full on bleeding with lots of cramps and nausea.
As expensive as the Mirena is when you have to pay full price, in my opinion it is definitely worth what you pay for it (even after only a year!)
I do get regular periods now that Benjy is weaned, but they are very light with no pms or cramping.
I've worked out that what I will save in sanitary products and painkillers over the 5 years, actually pays for the $400 the Mirena cost!
Hope you can find an answer soon Becks!!

mirena is $400!! wow!! i don't know much about it though, actually, i know nothing about it

that's the same amount we need to save to get DH's 'lil operation'

your periods sound like mine also, i'd suggest talking to dr about it and go from there. i suspect my endo is back again too with the pain i've been getting lately

Becks when I had my m/c I was told that if I soaked a super pad in 2 hours or less then I needed to go see a doc - turned out mine was a m/c. Yours may be endo instead but it still would seem worth going to a doc about.

I'm going back to the "ignore it and it will go away" business. Well, sort of.

I just know that when I got my period back (after my termination... but I had only had one after getting it back after Hannah and getting pregnant again) it was all over the show for quite a few months. It's only now that it has settled into a pattern.

Its def not a m/c you have to have sex to have one of those.

I had a good talk with my dr and he thinks that getting the depo would help me as I need progesterone. But the down side is that i'm scared that I would gain weight, but he said I need to think more than just the weight and think of my hormones. I could go on the mini-pill but I told him out right I am never going on that again. We talked again (well I tried to get him to allow me to have the Mirnea put in) about the Mirena but as my hormones are still all over the place it would only cause more issues with me and he wants me better before we talk Mirena.

I'm still keeping a track of AF for him so that if I have to go to my gyne then I have the info for him then he can make the decision about the Mirena once my hormones are under control.

Becks - it's not the actual Depo that causes you to put on weight, it just increases your appetite (which is the actual side effect). I've just monitored what I've been eating, and for the first time ever on Depo, have actually lost weight instead of gaining. Just a little info there for you...
