I use cloth wipes as well as MCNs and im loving not having to buy sposie naps or wipes BUT it doesnt matter how much i wipe Astins bum after every change - he still has smelly bum! which requires a bath or sposie wipes to make go away!!!!

SO i forgot to take some nappies with me to a friends place yesterday avo when we popped over for a "quick" visit which turned into staying for dinner etc! so i used some of her sposies naps and wipes and i was amazed at the difference! no smelly bum!!! except for the fresh wipes smell!!

Heres my bogel that i need answered - Does anyone else have this smelly bum problem when they use their cloth wipes??? OR IS IT MY NAPPIES!!??? Maybe i should buy all new inserts???

I have tried using teatree oil in water on the wipes and also baby shampoo/soap on the wipes but still he had stink bumbum!

The only time Leo's bottom is a little smelly is when I take his night nappy off in the morning as it's been on 12+hrs (which I think is understandable). At each nappy change I just wipe his bottom with a warm cloth wipe (no solution or soaps) and then sprinkle his bottom with good old-fashioned Johnson's talc. powder. I *love* that smell

yep, Jems bum gets smelly too. I usually use cloth wipes with baby wash on them and then every 2nd or 3rd change I use sposie wipes to give him that fresh as flowers smell

Powder works wonders for those random boy smells.

You should try baby talc too - it really disguises all sorts of smells and it lasts really well too. When I change Leo's nappy he still has powder on his bottom even though his inserts are soaked!

Just make sure it is a cream that you can use with microfleece... don't wait to clog up your naps!
