Hi girls, how long before you got your first period when you first came off the pill?
I've been on the pill 10 years and my cycles varied from 21-32(I think?) before that. I stopped taking the pill in November and am now at day 39. I tested on wednesday and it was negative so I don't think I'm pregnant yet. Is this normal? At what point should I go to the doctor? |

| I got it about 3 weeks after coming off and have been on it for ages. I guess everybody is different though. |

I was on the pill for about 10 years and my periods were regular straight away but I have a very long cycle around 37 days, so without the pill you my find that you have a naturally long cycle also. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I was on the pill for 11 years and I didnt have a period for 3 months, had one induced by provera then they returned 35-50 day cycles although I found out I had pcos which would probably explain it ------------- http://lilypie.com">    [/url]

oh ok, so it seems reasonably common - at what point should I be going to the doctor to get it checked out?
I'm so impatient, I was hoping I was just really lucky and got pregnant first time around but have done two tests now and no such luck. |

I kept going to the dr every month they kept saying can take up to 6 months to get a period and that they would only give me something after it had been 3 months so I would say if nothing by 3 months then go ------------- http://lilypie.com"> [/url]

It arrived yesterday, so maybe I just have a long cycle, or it took longer than normal to kick in.
