Awww poor thing! I had chicken pox for Christmas (and my DH's birthday at the same time) about 7 yrs ago. Not very nice. The plus side was swimming at home (Mum & Dad's place) because the cool water really helped.

But I didn't have them in the mouth though

jack went away before xmas with the in-laws to an 80th party and apparently there was a kid there with the chicken pox

i was worried he'd get them for xmas because i wouldn't want my neice to come around and get them too....so far nothing but i don't know how long it takes for them to show ?

hope your wee girl is over them soon!

We have had chicken pox at girls kindy for bout 8 wks & we thought we were clear till 9th dec, day after kindy xmas show Ashlyn came out with them, then Sunday 23rd dec Anastasia came out with them, much heavier dose, in mouth, girly bits, ears - all over.  Had to take a visit to dr on thursday to replenish supplies of panadol, pinetarsol wash, phenagan.  Also showed him a cream I have been using - Paraderm Plus - has antiseptic, anasethetic & anti-inflammatory and works fantastic, he said great to keep using.

Just a note also if using phenagan check dosage with dr as on the bottle they say 5mls for 2 yo but they do it by weight and I should have been giving 10-12mls at night - she was just getting hyped on 5mls

we are starting to get better nights sleep now so hope you are going ok
