we've been having 43+ degree days lately and James has come up with a horrible nappy/ heat rash front and back, i stoped using his cloth cause i thought it was them but it still hasnt gone.
anyone know of a way to help relieve it?
im thinking it could be why he's been so unsettled lately.
atm ive tried dermeze ointment and it didnt work so i tried sorbelene cream but MIL seems to think it'll make it worse and i should use johnsons soothing lotion????

OMG - Werribee, my sister and her three littlies moved to Werribee a couple of months ago!!!! (originally from Taranaki) What a small world! Her name is Corriene Bracegirdle if you ever bump into her (i think she's a bit starved of family and friends right now, poor girl!) Were you a kiwi?

We use Sudocrem which works wonders for us, but our girl doesn't get much nappy rash at all we mostly use it as a preventative. I have heard from many, many people that 'Dr Singh's nappy rash cream' (yes, that's it's name) is amazing for nappy rash, but it is a prescription medicine in NZ and not sure if you can get it over there.

Best of luck.

Something else that I thought of , when I had really bad eczema and used to get 'that really insane heat itch' I used to mix pinetarsol with cold milk & put  it on the area which really soothed it, hope its a bit cooler for you today.  It was bad enough here yesterday at 33 deg wouldn't like to imagine 43!!

oh kerryn i forgot about cold milk. i used to use that when peoples heads itched from lightener in the salon that not a stupid idea.
its slowly gone down now, but we're in for more hot weather so might go try some zinc cream.
thanks everyone

Our 43 degrees is hot, it reminds me of Alexandra blossom festival its a heat you cant escape
