introduce mashed food.

So tonight decided to introduce Ella to some mashed food. She had already eaten 1/4 of liver, bacon & veges and another 1/2 jar of pumpkin and was wanting some more food.....so I thought OK for dessert (which she loves) I would give her a very small teaspoon of apricot rice pudding and mush up the lumps.  NOT A GOOD IDEA....she had a very small teaspoon, then choaked on it and then proceeded to throw up her entire dinner all over the place. This is the first time she has really vomited and I can't believe how fast it came out.

On the bright side, she didn't seem to mind...after she threw up she gave me a huge smile and then opened her mouth for some more food and finished off the rest of her pumpkin and polished off a whole jar of baby strawberry yoghurt

Lesson learnt- always introduce mashed foods at the START of a meal NOT the END.  Will probably wait at least another couple of weeks before trying this again.

Maybe the lumps were just a bit big for her?? I stab at the lumps to make them smaller.

I can't believe she polishs off a whole jar of that strawberry yoghurt. I can get a daniel to take a teaspoon of it

I tried making the lumps a bit smaller, but they must of still been too big.

OMG she LOVES her yoghurt. When I difficulty feeding her I just have to mix the food with the yoghurt and she will eat it- a couple of nights ago we had the watties  chicken, noodle and veges mixed in with strawberry yoghurt and she thought it was sooooo good

haha..luckily DH came home just in time to see the lovely mess Ella had made (before she threw up she had rubbed pumpkin ALL over her face and in her hair) and he got the lovely job of helping me. Needless to say she had a really good bath afterwards.
