I'm only up this late as my lovely  neighbours are still partying hard. Even after the neighbour out the back come out and spoke to them about the noise (they usually listen to him, but this time they didn't) on my behalf. I probably would of done my nut at them and they are just a little bit younger than me so having an "older" person usually quietens them down.

I rung noise control at 11.56pm and they lodged the complaint. I waited 30 minutes for noise control to arrive and then rung again to see what was going on as they were getting louder. I was told by the council that NC are really busy and will try to get them there (even now they haven't arrived).

However when I rang the second time I asked if calling the police would help with the people noise (the chicky wasn't sure) but did tell me that as it is a rental property the landlord will be notified about the noise complaint. She also gave me the name of the LL (which I already knew but wanted to make sure of) and told me that I can make my own complaint as I am the home owner of the property next door.

So now I need some help. I don't want to sound like the b!tch I am in my letter but I want to get the point across to the LL that I have had enough of the constant people noise at their rental property till 1-2am on the weekends.

So any pointers??

What do you know, noise control turns up just as they are leaving to go to town now  an hour later than the original call. Next time I am calling bang on 10pm.

Oh I feel your pain , we were in a simalar sit with neighbours , but we ended up moving as we had , had enough, our ll was really good and contacted the owner of the other property on several ocassions but it just kept going, I have heard that they moved not long after us and brought their own house , the poor people that live next to them now!!

I have done the same thing with ringing noise control on my neighbours. They have a policy here that they wont act unless there is 3 compliants I have been lucky that I have usually been  the 3rd person to ring.

After talking to my neighbours (out the back) they called NC as well early this morning. I know that if they make any noise tonight I can call NC and if they come out the stereo will be taken away. But I think they know that rule so hopefully it is a quiet night tonight.

My SIL is helping me to try to get rid of them; it is a lengthy process but it can be done and I will be asking that a family gets put in there, as people with children are usually a little bit better behalved when it comes to parties and don't party all night long.

Fingers crossed the neighbours out the back want in on the letter as if it comes from 2 neighbours they should do something about it.

Oh I will be. But I think they are feeling a bit sorry for themselves today. Right time for me and the lady out the back to sit outside drink a few bottles of wine and make some noise
