I've heard these are the worst. What are we in for? We are having them today.

She's been fine with all the others so far.

Elle is so strong I'm not sure how we'll manage to keep her still.

Teehee, I considered getting her Nana to take her so she could be the bad-guy for a change instead of Mummy!

We give Michaela pamol or nurofen 30 mins before her jabs, that seems to help. You can also get an aneasthetic gel to rub on the jab spot before the appointment from the chemist if you're worried but I can't remember the 15 month ones being any worse than the ones before and I didn't cry that time so that's good.

I had heard that the MMR one is nasty, causes a sore arm and also causes a rash to appear several weeks later. One friend claims her child was really unsettled for a month after the 15mth jabs!

I can't remember Michaela being that way but it could just be a trick of the sleep deprived mind LOL

I think there's a range of reactions and each child is different. So just because one reacted badly doesn't mean another will.

I hope Elle is fine, and just remember it's all worth it, better an unsettled month than a disease that could have been prevented.

Paris didn't get it in her arm as i asked for it to be done in her leg. We didn't get a rash or anything with either of our girls. Only thing that was annoying was them being more awake and alert, we just had a bottle ready so that as soon as they were done the bottle was there for them. we held them sideways on our knee, they did one side, we whipped them around to cuddle them on the other side and before they knew what was going on it was done on that side too. (funnily anough this was the same approach we had when they got their ears pierced, turn and do it before they get a chance to know whats coming.)

I actually found them by far the easiest with my two!
Neither of them had a noticeable reaction to them at all, Hope its the same for Elle!

I heard these were the worst too and was really worried. We had ours done a week ago and they were the best so far - no problems with the one in the leg, a little bit of a cry (like, three seconds) with the MMR and so far no rash. First immunisations she hasn't had a temp with either, and no change in her temperment so far. I reckon it's an urban myth - all kids and immunisations are different!

All done and all fine so far. Just a little bump on her arm. She cried a bit with the arm one but didn't last long. Here's hoping for a good nights sleep! She's been so happy today so I'd hate to ruin that.

I had my bloods done too and she cried more during that than during her jabs! LOL

She should be fine, we didn't have too many issues with the 15m jabs - nothing different from the other ones. Our nurse blows bubbles afterwards to cheer them up - and the next visit they had completely forgotten anything 'bad'!

Jack was fine but then a week - 10 days later he got a bit of a runny nose and was a bit grizzly but hopefully Elle is fine.

Ugh dammit, gremlins are due for theirs, bugger!

Maya was fine behaviour/settled wise after hers, but she had an immediate allergic reaction and had to have an adrenalin shot so not the best case study...

Becks the 4 yr old ones are 4 - 5 yr olds - mostly they do them a few months before they go to school, we have Paris's coming up in Feb/March
