What do you do to calm yourself down when you get stressed. I'm not liking the way I am doing things at the moment - usually involves a glass and a bottle and a few cigerettes . So I want some other things to try.

I usually like to take myself out of the stressful situation and do something where I can relax. I guess that with kids that can be easier siad than done tho..
I have a nap
go for a walk
watch some TV staring blankly, not really focussing on anything
go for a drive
talk to a friend
These are all the things i find help when im streesed out.. Also, I have these little pastilles I get form the chemist form the same company that makes rescue rememdy. I find one or two of those and IM relaxed again!

Exercise is a lot easier said than done at the moment as I have to take both of them with me and Andrew is usually the cause of my stress.

how about getting someone to watch them for an hour while you go for a walk, or having a soak in a nice bath once they are asleep.
If i was near you i would off to watch then for a hour

well ive been threatening to lock them in the trampoline! Surely it wouldnt take much to put a wee padlock on the zip, then i can still see them, they are safe and cant go anywhere but they can still play hehe.

It depends what kind of stressed I am. I'm a water baby so usually it's shower, spa or pool and then I have a lie down for a while.
But sometimes a nice glass of wine does help. I even have a glass in front of me right now so cheers!! (not stressed though, just a nice day)
I also find that reading crappy romantic comedy books at bed time help.
Or could you ditch the kids for an hour or so and go and get yourself a massage.
And I know this is probably strange and TMI but I actually find being nude really soothing

Time out doing my own thing is how I relax - could be a nice cup of coffee out; a bath; playing mindless PC games; oh baby
I know it can be easier said than done though when you have kidlets around
Can someone look after the boys for you while you get some me-time?

I dance and sing loudly in the living room. the kids usually join me and I don't feel like such a crap mum. Either that or put a dvd on for the kids and have a bath. usually we all end up in it, but i get about 5 minutes of reading in.

I'm assuming that you are feeling stressed because you are a single mum at the moment while your DH is away?

A little its more that Andrew is partly deaf (still awaiting to do a hearing test) and that unless he is looking right at me doesn't hear me.
I got the glass and the bottle out , and me and the boys played in the back yard with the hose and the swimming pool for about an hour so that has helped a little. I'm going to have a bath tonight.

Chuck the kids in a double stroller and go for a power walk
Treat yourself to a nice hot or cold drink (milo/smoothie)
Decide to all go out somewhere fun, just to break the humdrum at home.

When we live around the corner, you can always come over and borrow ours. We have a pushchair with a toddler seat. only thing is with Andrew up the front and Josh in the back it would be difficult to steer. just go straight.

My MIL must of known something was up. She is going to have both of the boys on Monday (as its a public holiday here) for me from 10.30 in the morning and then i'll pick them up about 6pm and we'll have dinner there. So Monday is going to be a very relaxing day hopefully.

Yay way to go MIL!! I'd say you just need a bit of breathing space so you can be something other than a boo boo fixer for a few hours.
If it were me the first thing I'd do when I'm on my own is make myself some pancakes Yummy.
Take Fleury up on the massage if you can too.
