No, no not the porny mags...

Was wondering what other forums you ladies post on (so I can stalk you all... not..)
I go on little treasures, but you have to wade through months and months of posts to get to where you were looking last time, Trade me, but they don't talk to you and are So judgemental and attack everyone who has a different idea than you ( I got an ass whipping becasue I had the nerve to put up a post about how it annoys me when non baby people park in baby and mum carparks, apparently I have got it too good if thats all i got to compain about!! I have been on the nappynetwork a few times but no one really talks to me there either (must have whiffy breath.)
So girls, spill.
BTW this site is by FAR the BEST!!

Just wrote a big post and it said I couldnt reply when it was under another thread - weird.

Anyway, totally agree Annie. I read treasures sometimes but they are quite judgemental sometimes and there is a lot of gloomy topics. Occasionally the nappy network, but every time I ask a question I get so many different answers that I am really no better off! Very occ read the fuzzibunz message boards. But I love ohbaby - everyone soooo nice and lots of fun!

as i think i said in another post, i go to an american one, PREgnancy weekly - they have like a million different forums - for every age, stage, and type of person under the sun, from post natal depression, to same sex couples to those trying to concieve to those adopting to college moms etc, then you have birth clubs - for all the preggy ladies, due in the same month and you can all journey thru it together... but as i said - alot of the people on them have HUGE signatures so it takes a while to load!

I know!! That thread was a while ago, like before christmas. I get especailly annoyed because the main offenders are middle age to older people! I remember not long after I had Jacob, I had to go to New world one night (ours here is fab, has about 5 wide baby parks)when Rod was working late, so had to take babe. Piddling down with rain, so circled carpark, got cut off by a BMW Coupe, so had to park on other side of park and carry my babe in his car seat in the rain all the way over to shop, saw a middle aged couple getting out of BMW so i said to them those parks are for mothers with babies, you cut me off, so now my 3 week old baby is saturated becasue you took my park! They just carried on like I didn't exist, and me and my hormones cried!
I started this topic cos i got interested after reading what you had said in another post, Janine, so I was wondering which one it was? will check it out.
sorry about the novel, just getting up on that high horse of mine AGAIN!!

I am pretty loyal compared to you forum hussies.

Once upon a time I used to log on to everybody.co.nz That was just so I could find out about childcare in Wellington, ditto treasures.

I think I've maybe posted once or twice in the Nappy Network forum.

OhBaby remains close to my heart (and fingertips)

i just go here and everybody. They keep me busy. On everybody we have a dec04 mums group and they are totally fab bunch as well, we have met up a few times and when Jayde had to go to starship a couple of them came and visited us in hospital, that was really nice. and then there is the gastric reflux board on everybody too, which i used to do quite a few posts on when Jayde was really bad because they have all been there or going through it and could offer me tips/advice.

Yeah Nikki it is nice, but sometimes feels a bit morbid to be thinking about it so much.
It was great in the first few days afterwards when I was miserable and needed an outlet, but now feeling much happier this week and ready to move on with things.

Emma - I tried replying last night but my computer decided to play up... I just wanted to say that after miscarrying in 2004 (so long ago already) it took a long time for me to let myself be sad and grieve. Even now when I think about it I am so sad even though I now have my beautiful Joey. You are not morbid thinking aout it all the time especially since it happened not even very long ago! Big big hugs from me lovey!!

I go to Treasures and here but starting to wean myself off Treasures.  Seems the same thing gets posted over and over again and it is such a lot to wade through.  Had some laughs there though from people seemingly deliberately ruffling feathers.  Now I get annoyed because it tells me to remove offensive language from my posts, when I can't even find the offensive language they are talking about!  I do work FT though, so really should spend less time on the internet and more time doing some work!!!

After reading through a lot of stuff here, it really does seem that everyone has struck up a really good friendship with each other - which differs from Treasures an it's not so repetitive, so I'm going to wean off Treasures and onto Oh Baby!

Sorry for the novel, but back to that parking in mums/babies carparks - I gave someone a real serve over that (not from NZ descent) because he took the last car park and I had by 4 month old at the time with me - so I stopped my car by him and told him that he shouldn't have parked there.  He then "claimed" not to understand English which made me really angry.  GRRR people are so selfish and I am not known to be the most patient person in the world!

Posted By: Maya
Date Posted: 17 January 2006 at 9:30pm
Aimee - I understood what you meant It's nice to know that there are people out there thinking of me

Ana - Thank you. I have moments where I think I'm over it, and others where I'm on the verge of tears, but it does seem to be getting easier.

Ooooh, I'm so naughty - I frightened this poor girl half to death when she parked in a Mums and Bubs park. My sister was driving and this girl who would have been all of about 16 cut in front of us and parked. There was another park right next door so my sister parked, and I got out and gave this girl the bollicking of her life about how hard it was with a baby, and how she was selfish and had no idea rah rah rah, and she burst into tears.

Grrrrrrrrr I was so angry at a stupid BMW driver yesterday. (Not that I hold it against all BMW drivers. Just middle aged male ones )
He pulled up next to me at the lights in the space next to the road (can't freaking well remember what it is called) and I assumed he was just parking there. Turns out he wasn't and was trying to snake everyone at the lights. I was so mad that I had moved over for him. What a wanker.

Posted By: Popsicle
Date Posted: 18 January 2006 at 12:21pm
I remember getting really mad with this girl once - bit of road rage I hate to admit.  I was on the inside lane and she came up the outside, but we were coming to the top where the lanes merged.  She pushed me out into the curb in a rush to get past me (she was doing about 80km in a 50km zone I might add) so I beeped my horn at her.  She started on with the fingers and the abuse in the rear view mirror so when we stopped at the round-about I yelled out to her "I've got a baby in the car you stupid bitch" so she again gave me the fingers (very imaginative girl) and imitated taking a photo of my car on her phone like she was going to report me!!!!!  My blood boiled for about 3 days after that.  It's starting to bubble now just thinking about it.

Well its been a while scince I have posted on any I started on treasures, but like alot of you got sick of the catty judgemental people that can been on there in saying that tho I have meet some really nice people that are now vwry good friend's I ahve been trying to log inb there for the last 3 weeks and can't get in anyway. I also go on to trademe it can be cool somtimes tried everybody but all the ladies on there were so worried a a wee bit morbid about weather or not their pergnacy was going to work and all I could do was worry bout mine with them so I have returned to ph baby and think I will stick to this one as I no longer have time to keep trippping around and yes my poor son has to have a complete fit if I get on to the puter. So I tend to come on as much now I feel mean.
