yes you get subsidy depending on your level of income..up to 3$ something an hour(our preschool was $4 an hour).. and it depends ours was 120 a week an d by far the cheapest... I've seen them range up to 160$ for ones that do full food.. and you can get 20 hours free at some places...ooops just noticed he's only one..that's only when they are 3..

It also ranges depending on whereabouts you are living

Good luck with your search!

Yeah it ranges depending on the daycare and where you live. I'm pretty sure we're at one of the more expensive ones but it's worth it to us.

Not sure about subsidies other than the 20 free hours when they turn 3.

The subsidy is the childcare subsidy that is worked out on your family income.

Our daycare charges per session and the session my boys are on a called full days (7-9 hours a day). Josh wil be going in on the 1+ charge which is $42 per full day. And as we qualify for the childcare subsidy it become $4.66 an hour. For that we get all meals provided, heaps of resources for the kids to use. The only things I have to provide are nappies  (they have to be sposies) and a couple of bottles and to begin with a bit of formula as he is starting just as he turns 1 so we will be transitioning to cows milk. Other than my nappy issue I love the place.

It's $150 for a full week at our daycare James only goes for four days so it's $140 that we have to pay we get a subsidy from the government and they pay $104 a week so ends up we only pay $36 it s good 'cos we have just been approved and their going to back pay us from when James first started it took a while to get application had to what for birth certificate to be sent and my first pay slip so their paying around $500 for back payments so it works out that we won't have to pay for anything for 16 weeks.

For Alize's daycare it costs $55 per day. He goes 3days per week and I get a childcare subside and only end up paying $50per week. He has all meals provided for and even with his allergies they are supplying all food. The only thing I did is take the nappies and i am allow to take sposies or cloth.

yes but for $62/day you wouldn't want to be sending them 5 days a week

I cant afford to send Alize all week either at $55 per day. He only goes 3 days per week altho I am wanting to add one more day  when I start my course at the end of this month as I am really going to need the study time on my days off from work!

It's cheaper for 5 days, the price goes down the longer the bub is in daycare. We'll only have Gina for 2 days a week as I work from home the rest of the time
For a full week, the fee is $252 or $50.40 a day
