Hi ladies

we have an electric fence and I accidently just got a shock, I dont think it was that major just brushed my leg or pants and wasnt has bad as ive felt them pre pregnancy but now im a little worried! can shocks from electric fences be harmful? anyone else been in this position?

Nah it's ok. When I was preggers and painting Daniels room I touched my hand against the open light socket and got a nasty shock from it. Freaked out, called the backup MW as mine was away and she said it was fine so long as you don't pass out or anything lol.

So you'll be fine.. just think, mains power which I was shocked with is a bit more powerful than an electric fence (I've had a few of those too lol).. and my lil man is just fine.

thanks just rang the on call ob and she said that she would only get me in if it was a "jolt" which I assume is when you feel it go through your hole body...which has happened before when I have accidently grabed the fence but this was just my leg so that made me feel better!

Yeah, is usually only a worry if it enters one part of the body and exits another, i.e hand to foot.
I'm an electrician and worked up till 32 weeks and had two little shocks (occupational hazard) but Spencer is all good. Electric fences are no where near as bad as a shock from mains either.

thanks cupatea dh is an electrician too he said it probably went in my calf and back out my foot and said stop being a worry wart! bloody fences! will have to be a bit more careful from now on!
