Would I be right in thinking that having a capsule the second time around is more hassle than it's worth?

It was brilliant with Alex because I could just fling the capsule into the snap n go wheels and I was ready to go - but if I have a second baby then I'd have a newborn and a 16 month old. I assume that means I'd need to use my P&T everywhere I went, and so might as well just put bubs #2 straight into a convertible seat?

How have other people worked car seats for kids close together in age? 2 x convertible? 1 convertible and 1 capsule? Shove the kids in the boot?

When it's time for us we are going to put #2 in Daniels convertible safe n sound and then upgrade Daniels carseat.

We have a capsule, but I won't be using it with #2 unless we go in DH's car.

We'll be doing the same - so long as DS is over 9kg by then probably the best long term option if you don't want to bother with a capsule.

I swore by a capsule with the gremlins, altho Maya was older, it was just so much easier than getting them in and out of their seats all the time. I've got a capsule for #4 too, am thinking either the gremlins will go in the buggy and I'll carry baby in the capsule, or the capsule will snap into the buggy and one gremlin can go in the toddler seat on the back (P and T's) and the other can walk.

I used my capsule with Alex for ages, but Sophie is already in the convertable seat. I never took the capsule out, as they both go in their P&T's buggy. The only time I have thought about using the capsule is at the supermarket, if I only have Sophie with me. Then it's easy to put the capsule into one if those special trollys, but then it's easy enough jusy to put her into the baby seat - just means I wake her if she is asleep.

I'd put baby in Alexs capsule and move him into a convertible and then have another convertible for when baby grows out of capsule. I never had a capsule for Jack but got one for Caprece and it was great, especially for quick shops where its too much hassle to get pram out of boot or if Caprece was asleep. I'd put her capsule in a shopping trolley and Jack would sit on the seat.
