Ok!
So, basically - I'm due today... BUT! I don't have a buggy yet as I'm too damn indecisive. I've purchased/had purchased for me, THREE buggies throughout the course of my pregnancy, and now I have none... Go figure, lol. Now I've come to a point where I know what I want, but I can't seem to make up my mind as to which one I want. I've decided I want either the Mountain Buggy Urban Designer in the Baroque style (so very very chic) or the Phil&Teds sports single... SO! For those of you out there with the knowledge - What are your opinions on the two? If you could give me a few pros and cons that'd be FAB! At this stage, I think I'm leaning more towards the Mountain Buggy... -------------  My wee girl is the love and light of my life!

Looked at both the MB and Phil & Teds here, I would say think about whether you plan on having 2 close together or not? There will be 21 months between my youngest and bubs so we went with the P&T, it is a cool pram and Mr 21 months loves sitting in it just like EllaG Jess lol! I had a pram I loved but had to get rid of it as it had no options for a toddler. P&T has some cool accessories too such as a carseat adaptor and a carrycot that can be clipped in and out of the main seat if bubs is asleep. Good luck with your decision they are both fantastic prams!

Mountain Buggy Urban Designer are fab! They are great for going out walking anywhere, rough or flat not sure about the Phil & Teds sports single though.

Haha, I don't drive - See that's the other thing I needed to keep into consideration. How easy it'll be to take on buses, trains etc... From what I can tell (I've not actually seen them side by side) The P&T's is somewhat more slimline which I guess would be a bit more appropriate. DF drives, we just don't have a car at the moment... Well, we do - But hardly a baby friendly one... Typical boy-racer!
I do like how the P&T's have the toddler seat attachment etc. As we'll probably look at having number 2 say, 2-3 years down the track. I guess the main thing I'm loving about the Mountain Buggy is just how it looks lol - Bit superficial of me, I know. Also everyone raves on and on about the Mountain Buggy... But in saying that, P&T's weren't really that 'big' up until recently - Or at least that's the impression I've gotten from speaking to the likes of my Mum and the such ------------- My wee girl is the love and light of my life!

I absolutely hated using a bulky lie-down pram... Have you considered a sling? I'm tossing up whether to buy a sling for the next bubs, or just use Seb's frontpack untill it's big enough for his non lie-back stroller. We're already taking him out to some places (short distance - like to the park) without his stroller. And I did pay $80 for the frontpack then got lazy, and depressed and barely went out 
With bigger prams you often have to fold them up for the bus - BIG PAIN if you're on your own with bubs and shopping... most drivers will just sit there and watch you struggle (apparently they're not allowed to help you because someone might drive off with the bus  ) Trains are ok for most prams though.-------------

Happy due date! We looked at both, and ended up going with the MB. We found that when DH walked with the P&Ts he was quite close to kicking the bottom of the buggy with his long stride, and he doesnt with the MB. The MB also has the ability to take a car seat and a carrycot, we used an MB Carrycot for the first 2months and have only just put the proper buggy seat in it for him. The carrycot was great as we used it for daytime sleeps in the beginning as well! Its really easy to put the MB up and down which I like and although it takes up a fiar bit of room in the car, I dont think its much difference to the P&Ts. I think at the end of the day its best to wheel them around a shop and figure out which one works best for you. Good Luck!

I've got the Designer Urban, and I love it. It's so light to push and easy peasy to collapse and get into the car. I walk everywhere, and it's so easy to push up hill and downhill. I don't take a nappy bag when I go out walking now, as it's got enough "compartments" to store bottles and nappies etc.
The only bug bare that I have is that sometimes I can't get around in shops. Hmm that's the only one I think. Cooper sleeps really well in it too. Personally I didn't like the look of the P&T ------------- Mr Mellow (16) Miss Attitude (8) Destructa Kid (3)

With the Mountain Buggy, how ieasy is it to get in/out of the reclining position etc? Cos they Phil&Teds have the zipper don't they...?
Not too sure if I like the zipper, seems a wee bit fiddly ------------- My wee girl is the love and light of my life!

Hmm, right. Well thank you guys so much! I think I'll go with the MB for now... Besides, they have a fairly high re-sale so when #2 does come along, we should be able to make a bit off money of the MB in order to buy a double pram of some description.

Enjoy! If I just had the one I'd probably consider a MB but I don't have that luxury so we have the Phil and Teds double and still trying to figure out how I'm going to manoeuver things when baby arrives coz the gremlins are fiendish little creatures that take off at any opportunity so really need to be tied down. Haha - You got it! And it's a good incentive to go for a big walk in the hope that all the jiggling will help move things along.

P&T girl here, and we love ours. It fit all our needs and requirements. I liked MB, but didn't like the bassinet attachement and wanted to be able to lie Jack flat when he was a newborn. I am also a big convert to the accessories, and used the coccoon all the time!!! Much like the bassinett for MB I would guess.
It is a personal choice to be honest, we love the pram, takes up hardly any room in boot, is sturdy and after shopping, and shopping, surfing the net, and shopping some more we went with it. We have never regretted it ------------- ">
