I did a diploma in massage at Wellpark College, but I see you are in Waikato, I think that the Waitako Polytech has one as well, depends if you are just wanting to do for interest or as a change in career.

babyonboard, I'm currently slowly doing a Dip in Relaxation massage with the NZ College of massage.
Are you looking to do one by correspondence or full time?

I do mine by correspondence and the Anatomy and Physiology section is done by submitting assignments. The Massage stages are done over weekends in either Auckland or Wellington.

Firstly I wanted to do it for fun but it is becoming more and more appealing so thats why I would like to do a proper course rather then a weekend one.

I don't mind moving to do it If it's somewhere I like but correspondence does sound quite beneficial with bubba and all.

I was halfway through a Dip in Reflexology before we moved to NZ. I'm gutted timing meant I couldn't finish it.

I'm doing the Dip in Massage for interest reasons mainly, with the possibility of doing work in that area later.

Aimeejoy, NZ College of Massage have a building in Wellington.

Hmmm, looked at the website and it looks interesting. May email them. I have been thinking about doing one for a little while as it will complement my current profession well (physio), or be a new profession from home for me. But was looking for something more correspondence based with weekend courses, rather than just travelling to do part time through a polytech (which ends up being 4 short days a week anyway), which I dont see workingn with having two littlies.

Anyway, sorry for threadjack BOB

aimeejoy don't do the UCOL one I studied with them and NZ College of Massage and NZ College of Massage is a lot better and more professional.

They are in wellington and auckland and you can complete the Cert if Relaxation Massage over the course of a year 1 weekend every few months.
