She is being induced this afternoon/tonight.
She had a scan earlier today, baby is great but her liver showed signs of pre eclampsia so they have decided to get baby out while she is still feeling good. (well as good as a pregnant person with pre eclampsia can feel) -------------

Yes she finally saw the OB for "emergency appointment" yesterday after a 3-4 week wait and all of a sudden it is all on. Makes you wonder what would have happened had she have had the appointment 3 weeks ago -------------

More news, OB has decided not to induce her now and has done a sweep of the membranes as he believes she is about to go naturally anyway.
Is amazing how quickly things change, was there at half two when a midwife and a female ob tell her she is getting induced and then the next minute she isn't -------------

There is something seriously wrong with the Chch system I reckon. I was told I would be induced about 3 times (although I was also told twice that Jack had a hole in his heart and he doesn't). They also said it would be dangerous for me to go past 39 weeks and I had him naturally at 40+3 so go figure.
Man I hope the membrane sweep does the trick and she's put out of her misery sooner rather than later! |

She seems in good spirits, OB told her to have a walk around and she may go naturally tonight. She had had a big walk and was watching shorters when she last text. -------------

Hmmmmmmmm, they are now apparently waiting for her to go naturally and she will be staying at the hospital until that happens.
She must have been told about 5 different things now, so frustrating. -------------

She has been induced, is 2cm dilated but bubs is prosterior so has been told it could still be tomorrow before he arrives. -------------

No more news yet. Her last text said that it would be all on tomorrow morning, so i'm assuming that if things don't progress tonight that they will do more gel or something else to get things moving in the morning. -------------

Sorry DH has been hogging the computer all day.
She had contractions all night, but things were quite this morning (7am) they are intending to break her waters this afternoon and OB had said baby WILL be here today. Next update, hopefully telling you of his arrival -------------
