My midwife is concerned about the size of my belly as my uterus is measuring 7 weeks ahead of dates (measuring from pubic bone to top of fundus). Possible reasons are polyhydramnios or a very large baby already.
So it is not looking good for my planned waterbirth but will see what the specialist says after my scan. On a brighter note the scan gives me another chance to see if I am having a boy or a girl. So trying to stay positive, terrified that Bubs isn't okay but trying not to panic too much because everything could be completely fine.... Roll on Tuesday already ARGH!!!! ------------- Mum to Alex (11), Blaire (10) & Erika (8) and Damien (6) Successful HWB VBA2Cs! Soon to be surrogate |

Wow, any chance of dates being wrong? I measured 5 weeks behind at one point and caught up to only 3 weeks behind, maybe your bubs is having a growth spurt and might come right? Or am I just doing the 'wishful thinking' thing?

No my dates are definitely right I've already had two scans to confirm that they were spot on Last time I saw my midwife I was 5cms ahead which she thought was "okay but needed monitoring" but now 4 weeks later I am 7 weeks ahead so off for a scan I go followed by OB appointment. ------------- Mum to Alex (11), Blaire (10) & Erika (8) and Damien (6) Successful HWB VBA2Cs! toniellis good luck. Try not to stress, if that is at all possible. Pregnancy seems to be one of those things where weird things just happen.

Good luck Toni, fingers crossed that it's just extra fluid. And try not to worry too much before Tuesday (I know, it's not that easy!) but take comfort that if your midwife thought there was something really urgently wrong you'd be getting that scan quick smart and not having to wait. Best of luck with your scan Toni! I am measuring a couple of weeks ahead already but it's only coz this baby has such a huge amount of growing space as my uterus is so stretched from having the gremlins, my uterus is huge. -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for all the well wishes. Bubs was measuring 1 week ahead which is well within the normal range, just the right amount of fluid & everything was just fine. I've either eaten far too many pies or my uterus is just quite well stretched from having these kids all close together LOL!
