My little angel was happily rolling around in the buff. He had moved off his mat but I knew he had weed so I wasnt too concerned. Then it all went quiet!!!!

I look up and think "how did he get mud on his leg" then the penny dropped...it wasnt mud and there spread from "asshole to breakfast" was his poos. All over our carpet, his tummy, legs, butt, toys, playgym.

Any suggestions on how to clean up the carpet. I might add it was not entirely solid.

Ouchies! No ideas sorry! I've always been afraid of things like that happening which is why Gina hardly ever got nappy-off time

Oh dear, I normally just use washing up liquid and hot water to get "accidents" off the carpet, and then put a bit of disinfectant down. (more to stop the dogs from sniffing it out than anything).

If that doesn't work PM me as I have a bissell deep carpet cleaner and some shampoo for pets and high soil areas and that will def do the job that you are more than welcome to borrow.

We just use hot water and a bit of disinfectant, but then we have quite dark carpet. Sienna has a habit of taking her nappy off to poo
When they were less "mobile" I used to put one of those Huggies change mats under them with a flat cloth nappy over the top to absorb any wet patches.

Ohhh, how lovely of the little monkey!

I'm quite thankful that while Daniel pees on the carpet on a regular basis as he's often nudey during the day that he hasn't done that yet.

Way too mobile for that! He may not be crawling but he is the king of the commando crawl and this boy has places he needs to be.....god knows where but he is on a mission. Generally that involves off any protective mat.

I have totally soaked the area in warm water / dettol. Hopefully it will be ok.

Yup, my two were into that by about three months. Sucks huh, why can't they stay babies forever?!

And that is why Liam has his nappy off time on a mat on the grass . I'm sure the fresh air sets him off every time (piddling only - not poos just yet).

I hope you've managed to remove the worst of it from your carpet

Well when Emma's Sienna did her business on my carpet I used Mr Muscle Oxy Action and it cleaned it up really well and now you can't tell where she did her business.

LOL!!! Sorry when I read that I burst out laughing, we had the same here, although it was quite solid so was a bit easier to clean up. Once you have washed it/disinfected it and once it has dried if there is still a stain try the cavalier bremworth (sp?) spray you get from the supermarket. BIL is a carpet layer and her recommends that for stains. Oh a DON'T rub at it!

I just use disinfectant and warm water. Alize is like his "girl" Sienna (it must be a family trait) and likes to poo on the carpet all the time. I have now taken to putting little undies on him to catch the poo so the mess isnt too much of a hassle and he still gets to roam around naked and free without a bulky nappy in this heat.

Here is a GREAT way to clean that sort of thing without any fancy cleaning agents.....

I have done this plenty of times after animal poos, and also spilled drinks etc...

DAB up the excess of what is there.
Then put some water (i use warm) into a jug and gently pour it onto the stain from a height. Ie stand up and pour it from about thigh height.

The pressure from the water coming from a heigh will lift the substace up.

Then just put a rag (yes this requires something really absorpent!) and keep pressing it to soak up the water.

Repeat until stain gone.

HONESTLY this has been an awesome method for us.
I have use a carpet cleaner to get makeup my daughter got on the carpet..i just put a drop or two onto the stain (it was small)..rubbed it in, and then did the water method....

I hope you give this a go....and get the stain out!!

Good luck!
