Why is it after i thought everything was going good, we are back to square one. Barely eating anything!
We try to feed her and she just puts her tongue in the way or spits it out? Is this just a phase or do i have to go back to square one? ------------- ~ Mummy to a beautiful girl ~ |

It could be either, Daniel has done this a couple of times. I just ended up just trying, if he did that then I stopped, gave him finger food and left him to it. He eventually stopped being stupid and ate properly

She'll probably be feeling your mood as well. Try and make it really fun, do crazy nutty things, it will help relax you as well as her.
Sometimes I found that putting a song on the computer with windows media player and he sat there into the visualisations enough to be distracted by the fact that I was feeding him. |

She's either being particular about what she will eat, or she is not as hungry as last week (you know, all those week-about growth spurts). When I started my girls, they all seemed to have one week on, one week off to start with. -------------  |

I felt really bad today as mum came and took her for an hour and all i could think was thank god, now i feel terrible!

She does it with her bottles too.. She tightens her lips, throws her head back and keeps throwwing it back crying! Shes only had 2 bottles today and 3 cubes of food.. ------------- ~ Mummy to a beautiful girl ~ |

How do i know if shes teething? She dribbles, but no more than usual. She puts things in her mouth but no more than usual and she doesnt have red cheeks? ------------- ~ Mummy to a beautiful girl ~ |

I have no idea...Bella has been doing this for weeks too, and since she has been sick she hardly eats or drinks anything. I just figure she's not going to starve herself and that its just a phase Try plain water if you're worried about fluids - even just a little bit every now and then is better than nothing. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Probably just going through a phase. Ella is being pretty fussy at the moment with her food as well and would much rather drink her milk than eat (her latest trick is as soon as she goes in her highchair she starts sucking her thrumb making it impossible to eat). Things I have found that help are: giving her a spoon to play with, letting her play with the food (got some bowls that suck onto the tray so she can't throw it overboard), playing her some music (either baby mozort or Old MacDonald works a trick). It can get VERY frustrating and I know that when I get frustrated she picks up my mood that makes it even worst. ------------- Mum to Ella (5) and Tom (2) |

with Caitlyn i would feel her gums (with a clean finger of course) What if you give her a spoon as well Kandice? does that make a difference? but i think it sounds like shes going through the cheeky monkey stage too :-P |

I havent tried giving her a spoon too.. she tries to whack the one im trying to feed her with.. Iv felt her gums but what am i feeling for? Doesnt feel like teeth coming through.. ------------- ~ Mummy to a beautiful girl ~ |

What you could do (it's an old wives tale) is get a tiny amount of sugar and put it on your finger and rub gently on her gums, you should then be able to tell if there are teeth there. Don't rub too hard though, as you don't want to draw blood... Its entirely up to you if you want to try it.
It sounds like she's going thru a fussy phase. What happens if you stop with the fruit and just give her veges? Does she take them? ------------- Mr Mellow (16) Miss Attitude (8) Destructa Kid (3)
