Just wondering how many children everyone would like to have?
I want two, maybe 3. DH wants 4 or 5. I want to stop at 3 defnitely because we can all still fit into a car with 3. Just got to get the ball rolling and have number one

i thought maybe 3 but after the birth (though ask me again in a few months) and pregnancy.. i think two.. Dh originally wanted two in very close succession but not now so much(funny that:) ) ...so we will most likely have two maybe 1.5 or so apart hopefully... ------------- Mum to two amazing boys! |

after my first daughters birth i wanted only one then found myself pregnant again shortly after... then i was hapy with 2 started to want a third so tried for a month and got pregnant, took about a year after that to finally say 3 is enough, just so happened that i was already pregnant with number 4!! lol, so 4 is my limit!! NO MORE!!

Teehee Peachy, I went from a tiny VW Polo to a people mover in one foul swoop!
I originally wanted 3, then decided when I was first preg with #2 and hospitalised with hyperemesis that I was never, ever doing it again, then found out #2 was actually #2 and #3 so I would get my 3 kids without having to do another pregnancy. Then after they were born I started thinking about having one more later down the track to help me deal with some of the issues that their pregnancy raised. Then fate (and poor contraception habits  ) weighed in and baby #4 is on the way far quicker than we had planned, or would have liked, but hey, such is life!

I so want 3 and DH is 2 so we had a deal and now he has broken that deal but with what my gyne has said I think I will get my 3rd and then there will be no chance of any more. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

I mean, 50% chance it WON'T be a boy, and what if I'm disappointed with that?! Not that I'm hoping for either gender over the other for #2 though... We'll see

We've wanted 6 for a while, I'm not really sure where the number came from, I think it was a compromise between 8 and 4! Now we have endo and not really sure what to expect from here. I'd like another 2, maybe more? DH is not sure. ------------- |

DH has always said 2 and I use to think 3 but I now actually think 2 will be better. I think with 2 we will be better able to give them time and attention and also to have the finances to do lots of things and for me to still only have to work casually.
I would quite like a girl though so if we have another boy I might get tempted at another try  -------------

Interesting topic....... DP already has 2 (who I love) from a previous r'ship, plus we've just adopted...so already have 3 before we even start trying LOL. Together we would like to make 2 more babies so there'll be 5 children in total with any luck! Sounds like the Brady Brunch! At the moment though, given that I'm chilling out on the whole ttc bit..the timing of when it all happens is up for debate. We want 5... well, actually, DH wanted 6 and I told him we can discuss it after 5. Now though, we're both happy with 5 (unless #5 turns out to be #5 & #6 )

I want 2, possibly 3 if I don't get a girl next time round. I'm adamant I want a girl (although I love my wee boy to bits!). DH has male-dominated genes in his family though, so we'll see...
I also worry about more than 2 kids logistically, we can put 2 kids in one room, but after that we'd either have to put the study stuff in our room or stack the kids in one room!

I thought 2 was a good idea, until i got back those familiar baby pangs. After M/C #3, well it made me want 3 even more.
I used to think i'd have liked a boy, but actually i think 3 girls would be awesome fun, i already have so much fun with my 2 girls, 3 girls would just rule the household. lol But yeah, 2 it is, I would love another but just not gonna happen. 2 does make sense, we have a 3 bedroom house, one for us and one for each kid, 2 kids still fit in a normal car, 2 kids mean one each to carry and look out for, or if you're out alone, one hand to hold each. I used to want four, DH wanted three but I wanted an even number for some reason. But this will be our last I think (although never say never - who knows what might happen and we count all kids as a blessing). Too much strain on my body during pregnancy, so more physical reasons, and financial as well. ------------- Mum to two gorgeous girls! |
