Just curious to know how often you go through foundation and how much it costs you? I have found a nice one with Avon but with daily use I seem to go through $15 of it every 2 months... does that sound reasonable?

hehe I wear makeup everyday. Its just that little thing that makes me feel a little bit more attractive at the moment. Mine costs me $35 (mabelline) and i go thru one a month.

I only use powder foundation as I don't like to clog up my face every day so i don't go thru alot of liquid foundation, my powdered one would probably last around 2/3 months with every week day use (and it costs $29 ish)

When I was working and wearing it every day I went through a bottle ($60) every 3 months- so $15 seems pretty reasonable to me

When I was using it every day from work I had some maxfactor stuff (about $20 from memory) and that lasted me 5 months of using it every work day and then I stopped (was fat and preggy and couldn't be bothered) and I still have some left

I use the Mabeline stuff and thats $30 odd I still have the same bottle from before I had Josh I only wear it now when I go out.

The avon stuff is quite good from things I have heard and that price is good. If its good for you go with it.

I have $38 stuff from BodyShop which last about 2-3 months of wearing it every day. Going to switch soon though as they've changed the formula or something and it's not as good coverage as it used to be. Just sucks cos I had a trial etc and it looked so nice, now it wears off more.

I wear it everyday (liquid and then powder to set it) and a bottle (Revlon = $35) lasts me around 5 months or so. My powder (Revlon = also $35) I tend to go through quicker - maybe every couple of months.

I've been using the body shop liquid foundation also which I've been loving. I also use a foundation brush now instead of a sponge to apply it and I have found that I am going through waaaaaaaaaaaaay less foundation that way becuase it doesn't all soak into the sponge! I think so far I'm almost up to 2 months worth of use and I'm not halfway through yet.

Foundation brushes are so worth the investment!
They apply it way more evenly and smoothly than a sponge and as Gen said, you use heaps less.
I wear Revlon foundation and got through a bottle about every 2-3 months. I wear it most days although I try to give my skin a breather 2-3 times a week!

Haha, i have an addiction to foundation,im always buying different ones and trying them love them for awhile then i get sick of them and want something different.
In my drawer, i have revlon, napolean (which i use at the moment) an avon one, Bobby brown (which i love, she and Laura Mercia do the best foundations) a mac one , a loreal one and im sure there are others

$15 every 2 months is pretty good id say

(btw, i did a makeup artistry course pre caitlyn days and it fueled my obsession -im thinking of going for help one of these days )

i'm thinking of doing a makeup course soon.....OT

i have the moisture mist one and have had it for about 6mths......i only wear it when i go out clubbing (haha) or to the movies or dinner etc......hence why it lasts so long!

I use Shiseido Moisture Mist and it is about $27, I do wear it everyday (including weekends) and it lasts me about a month and a half. I think $15 is very good!

Ooooh ... I don't even want to post. But I will, because I reeaally wish I could use a cheaper foundation. The last foundation I bought was YSL and cost $75 So far I've been using it a month, and I think I probably have another couple of months use in it.

On the flip side - I have bad skin allergies, and I can only use a handful of foundations on the market. I used a mac one once and my skin literally came off! Layers just peeled off Yuck. So, I can buy a $20 or $30 foudantion, but I usually end up spending about $300 within a couple of weeks on specialist skin stuff to fix my face.

I use two different foundations - One for work and one for going out.

Work one I have been using for about 5 years - Best coverage I have found! Australis - $19.90 - That lasts me about a month.

Going out - MAC - About $50 I think - That lasts about 6-7 weeks depending on how often I go out.

I would LOVE to spend $15 every 2 months!

I use clinique and it is about $50 and lasts I think 3 months, hard to tell as I only started using it before I fell pregnant and stopped when pregnant as touching face made me feel ill.

I'm curious about a foundation brush too - how does that work?  I mean, you couldn't use it with a liquid foundation, could you??

I used to use a Shisedo Creme one - loved it but then it stopped being right for my skin - tried 3 more and now I'm on the Maybelline one that does the whole 'liquid to powder finish' - it's lovely and light, and as a bonus, doesn't break the bank.

I don't wear makeup very often. Thankfully I don't really need to. I tend to only wear it when I'm going out and even then I wear very little.
I use a tinted moisturiser from Elizabeth Arden about $60 from memory. I find that's all I need. If I do want a proper foundation I use Napoleon which I think was also around $50 or $60.
I use a foundation brush. They are really good; they give you a nice smooth, even finish and you find that you use a lot less foundation. Just be sure to look after the brush. Yes you do use it with a liquid foundation.

I use a tinted moisturiser, cant remember the brand, but I love it! I then use a powder on top of that to ensure there is no shiny spots, and i use nutrimedics finishing power.
If i use foundation i usually stick to maybelline mousse or max factor.. I love max factor but cant always afford it..
But then, i very rearely wear makeup anyway, only on special occasisions.
