Have been asked this twice in the last few days So I know I still have a little tummy since its only been 9 days, but seriously I dont look like I am due to pop out a baby anytime soon!! I was feeling really good about myself, dont feel overly fat anywhere else, just the belly, but think I need to start wearing DHs tshirts or something to hide it So embarrassing saying, well actually I've had her. Please tell me you all had this as well...

Oh I so know what you mean... don't worry give your body time to get things back where they are supposed to be.
Some people are just plain rude. You could always ignore the question and/or embarass them back.
I'm still trying to find my pre baby tummy, I guess it depends on the person.
Hey don't forget you've just had a baby, you will be fine...

Yeah I still have this problem now... Though I don't look like I am about to have a baby, the little bulge I do have looks a bit suspicious...
I find it really embarressing, easier just to carry baby everywhere, then they understand

i had the opposite problem - at 37 weeks standing in a bra shop changing room with no top on the sales assistant asked where i was with my breastfeeding...? hello could she not see i hadnt had the baby yet?
i cant imagine that the people asking you are those who really know you or even saw you before you had bub...i saw a friend a month after her baby and she still had a baby belly... chin up... i'm sure it wont be too long.

Oh yes, marshbellow saggy belly. Had that! It deflates though remember?
I didn't get asked... but that was because I hermitised myself in my house. haha
A girl I worked with got asked when her baby was 4 days old. She burst into tears.
You'll be fine lovely. Just enjoy the early days xoxox

Yep, I remember looking down at my great big empty sack of a belly and despairing. My DH did the Homer test (he picked up my belly then dropped it to see how long it would jiggle. I bought maternity tops after DD was born (I didn't mind having tight tops around my pregnancy belly but couldn't stand them with my post-baby belly).
It does shrink eventually and, as Nikki, said in the meantime just enjoy the early days. Remember it was your amazing body that gave life to your precious baby, it deserves to be appreciated for that, no matter what size or shape it is.

yep I went shopping for a maternity bra a few weeks back and the lady started going on about leaving room in the cup for when my milk came in
The worst thing was I'd just got out of my maternity jeans that day and was super stoked.
I only really put weight on around my belly and it's taken ages to go down (well seems like ages)

Sorry I have no experience in this department but just wanted to say dont worry and try not to think abotu it too much
God! Some people are so rude!
When will people learn.... You NEVER, I repeat, never ask a woman if she is pregnant unless is actually giving birth, right there!

LOL *sigh* i STILL get the odd days where I'm bloated and look 7 months preggy! I had a kid ask me if 'it' was a boy or girl only two months ago...so disheartening!
I'm only 60kg as well, just carry my extra 4kg in my tummy....and I'm a shorty so that doesn't help!
Theres no rush darl, let nature take its course. Stuff what other people think

My tummy is still kinda hard and round (but much much smaller) not all marshmellow saggy yet. And it was my neighbour who asked, stupid man. And he had seen me around recently looking huge. Silly males...
I had an appt at the maternity today and my GP said that happened to her after her second and she just burst into tears. And one of the midsives said she started admitting a large lady who arrived on the ward huffing and puffing a bit - turned out it was someones mum visiting!

I have found my tummy to be very stubbornly sticking around after baby #2!! Much harder to get rid of (ok to be honest not REALLY trying very hard at the mo. )

My boy was born 14 months ago and I still have a big puku lmfao. Haven't had anyone ask when I'm due though. Don't worry about it, as long as you're happy with yourself it doesn't matter what others think or say

GandT on the topic of bras, I have always wondered why some maternity labels advertise that this preggy dress is suitable for BFing....most people are not BFing when they are that pregnant and who would buy a dress to wear just for a few weeks after .....it would look like a sack. I know my wedding dress looked amazing on me pregnant (if I may say so myself) but I tried it on the other day and YUK!!!! it made me look pregnant in an unflattering way.

It will get better, give it some time.

Kells on here - who I haven't seen for a while but she was the Rongotea one - was a tiny little thing and yet she got asked too! It's so disheartening but some people just have no idea.

Some guys just think they're being funny when theyr'e just being damn rude. I wonder if your neighbour was tryna make a bad joke?
