At least, I think it's ironic.
Winter coats this year are coming out with 3/4 sleeves.
If it's winter, howling a gale (sp?) and pouring with rain ... enough that you're wearing a coat ... why would you be wearing a 3/4 sleeve coat? Your arms would get wet for a start!
Maybe they're coats you only wear indoors. All fashionable like?

lol, you know, I was thinking about this yesterday afternoon, fter I went and laybuyed some more "winter" clothes for my kids. Buying them, I was thinking well, that will need something under it as it has SHORT SLEEVES and that material is very thin for a winter dress, etc. I guess lots of folk just stay indoors and only need short or 3/4 sleeves....

And wouldn't short sleeves look funny over long tops, or do they want you to wear everything in 3/4 sleeves? Maybe they're in cahoots with long sleeved glove makers...

Nah, it's long sleeves under 3/4 ones konagirl. Hence why I'm a bit baffled! Well, I'm not in that I get the fashion thing, but I also think about arriving to work with a sopping wet top from the elbow down, and everything else dry. It's asking for the flu!

Jake has some cool t's that I popped long sleeve poly props underneath, they looked quite cool. You can buy stuff (kids stuff) that has that whole long sleeve under short sleeve look. Not very warm though!

I don't know about NZ but the fashion for winter here was teeny tiny little shorts. These silly girls would be wandering around freezing there butts off (sometimes quite literally as the things were so darn short!) in the name of fashion. They would wear big warm bomber style jackets with them but when its below 0 you can't be wandering around with bare legs. Talk about natural selection

It's like when there was the fashion onbare midriffs ... in winter! It used to make me feel frozen to see it!

your theory falls flat Jennz because these girls probably get laid a lot more and therefore pregnant and then pass these silly impractical genes on.

Mind you, I never understand why anyone In aklnd even buys a coat, it just doens't get that cold! Only if you are walking your dog in the rain sort of thing, in which case you actually need a more rain proof coat than a warm wooly thing. Very odd.

Ahhh but wool is a natural insulator, even when wet
Not a fan of the 3/4 sleeves but I would kill for a cute coat right now. Pity I have no money.

At least this winter you'll be able to spot the fashion victims from a mile away
