...a freakin mini crunchie bar! it was about 5cm long...
i am sitting here at work, unwrapping my mini crunchie bar.. and the lady next to me says "you know, i dont think you are "all baby" after all. i think that big round belly is also chocolate"
cant a pregnant woman have a piece of crunchie in peace?
and if one more person tells me my belly is huge i am going to scream!!!!!!!!

i know! ive been munching away on baby apples, raisins, a wholegrain sandwich and a yoghurt..
the moment i pull open a crunchie bar its a different story!
isnt it funny how people think they can just shoot their mouths of at you when your pregnant and say whatever they want?

That is so rude! I can['t believe someone would say that.
I think co workers can be the least supportive people of all.
You feel better. That was so rude of her.

na, i just turned to her and said "sorry, what?" and she then repeated herself. i just said "yeah, ok" and rolled my eyes.
considering she is a big ompa loompa and is on a special diet i think perhaps she sniffed out my chocolate and wished she could have some herself. well i just tell myself that anyway.. makes me feel better!

That is so rude.
When I was preg, a co-worker (who was also preg at the time), critisied the fact that I chose to buy a sandwich from the work cafetaria- (it was the only near healthy thing I could find there, as I didnt have time to make lunch at home that day), because it could be a listeria risk,...but then she proceded to down a huge plate of fried food, and then go outside for a smoke

Some people are so rude, I get comments everyday by my co workers about the amount I eat," Have you ate all of that" or " I could never eat that much" or "no wonder your tummy is so big"
I would definatley say that lady is jealous.

ok, so its not just me who gets picked on then?! does anyone, or has anyone come up with a really great come back lately?
in total contrast to this, i pulled up to my local petrol station on friday (DH usually does the petrol thing) and i start filling up the tank and this lovely old man came running out and told me to stop immediately! He apologized and said he doesnt like pregnant women filling up (fair enough!)
if we had more of these people, and less of the busy-bodies who do nothing but critizise the world would be a happy place!

I was at work and our clothesdryer blew up, I had the job of ringing around to get someone to fix it, the horrible lady on the phone said she would send someone down but they dont take dryers off the walls if they are up there. I explained to her that we were all a bunch of short females who couldnt reach it and that I was seven months pregnant, she said she didnt care and none of her men were employed to do it.

I can't believe the attitude of some people, I mean I don't expext to get treated like the queen, but some extra consideration would be nice - the other day I was at the gym and turned on the fan because it was like a million degrees and a lady next to me complained that it was too cold. So I said well actually I'm pregnant and really need the fan on and she said well that's your problem isn't it? Gee thanks...

shes already made comments in the past that she wonders how i still manage to stay so slim...
ive already told her its all in moderation.
not that i have to justify anything to her. perhaps she is jealous?
would be interesting to see how she reacts the next time she puts something bad in her mouth, she moans about her diabetes and how her legs ache (she is a very large woman) perhaps its in HER best interests that i warn her about her weight the next time she eats a whole bag of potato chips
no doubt it would bring her to tears!
i had a woman barge past me when the bus pulled up, just to get ahead. some people can be so inconsiderate, yet others so kind.

OMG - some people are so rude! I hope that you ate it in front of her and didnt close your mouth whilst eating! haha!!
I have been a grazer this pregnancy too. I am eating chocolate but also fruits, veggies and anything else that take my fancy . DH says "are you ever going to stop eating". People keep saying to me that "your not very big for 30 weeks!" Arrrgggghhhh so you cant win either way. I just think that they are just jealous!

One of my colleagues today told me he thought I now looked pregnant. But, I honestly think in my case it really is a case of too much bad food!! He is Indian, and used to saying whatever he thinks of.
Made me laugh actually.
But I can not believe the rudeness of that lady about your crunchie bar. If she's a tub, you should have insulted her right back! Some people have no respect. Next time she eats some chips you'll have to say "I don't think that is all really to do with the diabetes, I think there's a few bags of chippies in there too, eh?"
Grrr. It would have made me mad.

Oh my god I just saw this post and cold not believe people say that sort of things. she is lucky she didn't get a crunchie bar poked in her eye.
I am in shock - feel bad you have to work near someone like that. Sometimes people amaze me.

This is why I don't get on well with people in general (or at least part of it) I would be far far too tempted to punch them right in the nose for a comment like that.

That is the rudest thing I've heard in a very long time, how dare she be so offensive and think its okay
I like the comment made earlier if she moans about the heat or being uncomfortable etc you should say 'Hmmmmmm I'm not sure you can blame the weather entirely those extra pies havent helped have they' or something much cleverer than than!

we've got a big jar of goodies that sits on my collegues desk, (a nice colleague) she bought heaps of mini chocolate bars etc. and told me she bought them for me but anyones allowed to help themselves.
ive pulled another one out waiting for her to come back so i can stuff my face with it. (all 5cm of it!)
she is so weird though.. i was having a private conversation with the "nice colleague" and we were talking about what we were having for tea, and i mentioned i had a craving for kfc chips... next thing the crazy mouthed lady is in hysterics because shes evesdropped and heard me. she thinks its funny? she freakin drives me insane!

As for your collegue. B***H! What the heck makes her think she can speak to you (or anyone) like that?
The old man. So so sweet! Wish there were more of him around.
As for the KFC craving. Why did I open this post???? hahaha I want chips and gravy too now!
And I think its safe to say most people now jack all about 'body shapes' during pregnancy. Yesterday I got a lovely lady stop me in the warehouse and tell me that my "bump" looks amazing and that I really suit being pregnant ... other days I get people saying, "twins?"

I can't believe that woman! I would love to say I'd slap her but I'd probably be too shocked to say anything. At least your belly will be because you're pregnant. Maybe you could ask her when she is due???
My MIL sent me an email today saying she hopes I'm well and that I'm not putting on too much weight!! OMG I was so pi**ed off. I took great pleasure in replying that I haven't put on any weight at all and I sent a photo of my belly (while it actually looks good!) just to show her. I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it but it made me grumpy. Have enough to worry about then to add weight issues into the mix!
