because there seem to be a few people on here in the know

I want to take on a packet of those face cleansing wipes (you know, like wet wipes). Do I have to squeeze them into my 1L bag of liquids? Or is that not a liquid? If it makes any difference (some places might be more strict than others??) travel destinations include L.A., London, Athens, and Hong Kong.

Also, are we allowed to take spray deodorants as carry on?

TIA

I don't see any issues with wipes but aerosols are limited to 100ml.

Check out this link.

Awesome thanks for that Yep we've got that kind of travel time too - 35 hours on the way home! (8 hours of that in Hong Kong though). So will definitely be wanting some deodorant lol.

Ooh Egypt would be awesome too, I'd love to go there!

OH just read this too:

"Can I take an empty water bottle and fill it up at the airport?

Yes, you can take an empty bottle, and fill it up once you have been through security screening. Please note that you will not be able fill up your bottle prior to the security screening point. You will still be able to purchase ready filled containers of water after passing through the security screening process."

That's good! I was a bit annoyed that I couldn't have a bottle of water to drink on the plane, but sounds like I can after all

Loving these airports/flying questions! We're off to Gold Coast on Tuesday and I've had so many questions and haven't had to post anything because they get asked before I get a chance so all good!

I have one more. Can someone please confirm that you can take the stroller (little umbrella type one) on the plane? I really don't want to have to check it through. I'm worried it will get broken, and we also want to have it in case Ashlee gets tired and wants a nap before we have to board the plane. I've been told that we can take it with us right up until boarding, then they take it off us and store it in their umbrella area/closet thingy. I've checked the dimensions on the website (Pacific Blue) and it seems like we can according to those dimensions.

ETA: sounds like I just answered my own question, but I thought maybe someone could confirm it lol!

For umbrella strollers, you need to check with the airline. They all have different restrictions concerning cabin baggage, which is what the stroller will count as. Some don't let you carry them on and make you check them through. However, many airports have strollers that you can borrow for the duration of your time there -- I know Auckland Airport does. It might be worth checking out.

Yeah check with the airline...we have one that folds right down to backpack size so that is sweet otherwise you can normally take it the aircraft door. Anything bigger than an umbrella stroller though has to go as checked in.

Just as an aside, with questions like these it does always pay to check directly with the airline, I'm always happy to answer anything to do with Air NZ but that doesn't always carry over to other airlines and I'd hate to set anyone wrong!

Well I'll continue picking your brain Paws because it's Air NZ that we're flying with And Lufthansa, but Air NZ for half the time

One more thing with deodorant aerosols is that they must have the cap on them. This applies to both hand luggage and checked baggage.

Any deodorant under 100ml is fine provided the above applies but must be in the plastic bag.
