Tell me where is the sense in putting plastic teething rails along the sides of the cot but not on the ends as well?

Lucas has managed to basically take all the top layer of wood away at both ends of his cot, I just had to stick my finger in his mouth to grab a chunk out, God knows how much he's actually swallowed over the last 4 months since he's been able to stand in his cot ...I wonder how toxic it is?

Anyone else having the same problem?

I was wondering that too... do they really think bubs will be too small to reach the end rails???

Yep Josh loves doing this to his hand-made heart rimu cot . My dad is going to sort it out for me once Josh is out of the cot (clean it up for me), as it is a sentimental thing for me - my dad got it made for me and you can't get heart rimu anymore.

Can you find something to protect the wood, like another plasticy thing like the sides? Surely there must be something out there that could be used

Touchwood sell protector thingies, not sure if they make them for ends but you could probably cut a couple to fit?

Maya's cot didn't have teething rails and she had a great time ingesting the lovely white paint

Grrr Ashleigh has done this too. Her cot looks very manky now. She would open her mouth wide like she was about to take a bite, then just move her head left and right all the way along so there are big grooves from her teeth. I don't think she ate any though. Its stupid how they only put the plastic along the sides isn't it!
