OK, so I know this seems pretty insignificant compared to what other people have been thru lately, but I want time out from my life!
I was doing fine, Willie let me sleep half the day today coz I was up all night with various children, but now both gremlins have a tummy bug 
I have changed Mercedes cot 3 times and Sienna's once. They now have towels instead of cot sheets coz I've run out of clean sheets, no sleep sacks coz they're all spewed on and both Bunny and Peter are soaking wet coz they spewed on them and I had to wash them and so now they won't cuddle them and are screaming in their cots probably spewing some more 
How the hell am I going to get thru the night? Willie is asleep, he only woke up when I dumped the two crying gremlins on him so I could change their cots yet again, he is useless as always. I have a finite supply of clean towels, and on top of it all I feel like crap myself. Swap lives anyone? -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

hmmm no swapsies...we had it in nelson...power exorcist like vomits in rental car, motel unit and all over mummy and then again ALL over mummy (hair included) at botany the other day....
at least i know you didnt get it here yest...too quick for that! 
sympathy for you but you better not have given it back to us....last week was horrid AND Bsdh had it too....so both of them went off both ends...NOT nice! |

Oh that's not good. I'd wake W up and ask him what they've eaten. You don't think it's the domino effect, one starts then the other one? Hopefully it's not serious.

when the boys get sick i make the bed in layers so i can just pull one off... maybe you'll have to use the babys linen, you did say it needed to be re washed anyway...

Good point Deb, I forgot I even had the baby's linen! And it used to be theirs anyway...
I take back what I said about Mr Useless, he got up ad we both sat with them in the lounge with towels and spew buckets, now Mercedes is running riot like there's nothing wrong with her but poor Sienna is still miserable. Altho Mercedes did get sick first, hopefully S will perk up soon too. Oh and Maya heard all the commotion so now she is up too and refusing to go back to bed till they do. Anyways, I am off to bed to try and get a little sleep, Willie is sitting up with them and he's gonna try putting them down again a bit later when (if) they've stopped vomitting. I'm kinda glad for the break coz it's me that's gotta cope with them all day tomorrow on my own, he gets to slink off and hide at work. 3am this morning I was woken to the sounds of exorcism type chucking in the nursery
There was so much of it all over the cot! Have changed sheets, lined with towels and nappies and have changed her, but I don't think she will be sleeping. She is still going poor thing

I am getting all shivery just thinking of it. I do NOT deal well with people being sick. Baby spills I managed, toddler puke is another thing altogether... I think if Seb got that sick Mike would be taking the day off school. I really just can't deal with it. It freaks me out till I'm an utter mess (hence why I hate drunk people, and can't be far enough from them) I think if Mike got sick I'd probably make him sleep on the couch I'm so mean. -------------

ugh no sick bubba here thankfully but I have the trots and nausea...this damn bug keeps kicking us all...another bubba returned to DC today after 10 days off...and two have had days in hospital with dehydration with it...hope sienna and her kidneys will be ok...def get pedialyte if need to (bubblegum rocks) as Ella lived on that last week.....
hope sam is ok....that was too quick to have been from here so guess it is going around up there too sterryn....we have friends on shore with it too real bad at moment...not good! |

Well my darling daughter has spread the love, so now sick mummy trying to cope with spewing child Ugh!!!
Sent DH to work cause we need someone in the household to be healthy, and man sick would just be too much for me to cope with! On the upside, Sam is completely happy between being sick. Oh no Sterryn, that's awful! I caught gremlin bugs a few weeks ago and felt like I was dying, it's sucks! And Sam sounds just like the gremlins, they've stopped vomitting and moved on to the disgusting nappies stage but are quite happy in between times. I've put them back to bed with a bottle of water each coz they are pretty tired and drained (and I need a break!) Poor Willie is at work, exhausted from being up half the night, and I'm not too wide awake myself

Deb -I doubt it - but seems they were at a meet up on thursday and timing is perfect from that....gabrielle and poss others had been sick??? noone else from party sick and too quick for that....less than 24 hours.... emma and sterryn - watch out cause the vommitting stops but any dairy etc sets it off again.... |

I haven't been brave enough to feed the gremlins yet, I offered them a rice cracker each and they turned their noses up, they wanted muesli bars which are a big no no!
BS - the lactose intolerance isn't a given, it's just a random reaction to the bug. When the gremlins had rotavirus Mercedes developed lactose intolerance and Sienna didn't, and the bad news is it can last for up to six weeks

Ugh, well I had thought that Sam was over the worst of it, but when I heard coughing from her room at 11pm and went to check on her OMFG!!!
Lets just say it looked like something out of the exorcist!!!
It was everywhere, covering her, the cot, toys Blah
Then straight out of the bath she fills her nappy and it leaks out the top and all over the floor Does it end - please tell me it does

Oh big hugs to all the sick bubbas :( It must be terrible. If it's any consolation we've had runny, explosive nappies for almost 3 weeks now and apparently she has no bugs or viruses so it must just be a phase We only have 1 or 2 a day so the doc says its definatey not bacterial or viral (tests came back all clear too). She thinks it's teething as Elles eye teeth are coming through.

Ster - when we had it in nelson we had the exorism vomit in car and two days later (after nothing!) i copped it....lets just say there is a certain cushion in a certain motel that still smells funky!
the nappies get better altho we had two more days of runny ones after that despite only being on pedialyte....but no more vomitting once we stopped formula and yoghurt and anything remotely dairy like. It is weird just how many people have had this bug this month and how many different symptms people have - eg vomit and dia or just dia and major dehydration etc...our entire babies room and all carers have been off at least once....ugh |

Noooo! Don't tell me it flares up again! I just gave the gremlins a half a bottle each They woke in the night starving so I gave them half a banana each which stayed down, so this morning I gave them another half a banana each and half a hot cross bun, then 1/2 a bottle, I didn't want them to scull a full bottle on a tummy that hadn't had anything in it since Sun.
