i went cheap on prams but i would look for good back surport (sturdy and the babys back donst concave in) good wheels front and rear facing handles,and a good basket under neth (i dont drive so a good carry sysmet is a big help) oh and u dont have too spead the world to find a good pram have u checked out framers, good luck shopping its so much fun  ------------- <a href="http://lilypie.com"><img src="http://b4.lilypie.com/nLJ5p13.png" alt="Lilypie 4th Birthday Ticker" border="0" /></a> |

I got a mothercare one brand new off trademe  looks sturdy and is a nice pram

i've got a steelcraft swivelrite and it's great! but....if you can afford one that can take a toddler seat, get it.
at the time, we couldn't afford the extra and now that #2 is coming, we have to sell ours and get a new one

Look at the consumer mag, available from most libraries, find the one with the pushchairs in it. They research and test different brands and tell you ones that are best for money and safety features of all and heaps of other info. i got the jolly jumper 3 wheeler that can make baby face towards u or away from u and i hate it it doesn't fit in the boot of my car and its really hard to collapse and get up again it does look good though ------------- http://lilypie.com">

If you've got a friend with a baby/toddler, "borrow" the child when you go to the shops to test the prams... they handle differently with the extra weight in them. Most baby stores have no problem with you taking the pram out to the car to see how well it fits folded into your boot either (may pay to park close!).
If you decide to buy one second-hand, check it out instore first (if possible) to give you a good idea of the handling. You may find that the new one (for example) is slightly clumsy in the steering, so a different model would be better suited to you. ------------- Becca, mum of 2 girls & 3 boys |

Hey Mummy2B, I have just recently purchased a Phil and Ted E3 and its great!!! Very easy to handle, folds down easily and is light weight. That is something we were looking for and found it in the E3.
I have two of those liquid holsters attached to the handle bar and it folds down well without damaging the holsters. The holsters you have to buy seperately of course from baby shops ( I got mine at Baby City). The range of goods that come with the Phil and Ted is huge right from newborns to toddlers, includes portacots. Gees I should be a sales rep for them!!! Good luck, I would recommend u test drive a few first with someone else's baby. Gaye |
