Okay so i rang the hospital and spoke to the nurse i normally deal with and said "im pregnant" she goes "oh are you sure", im like no im just ringing you to waste yours and mine time.
So off she goes to talk to the ob, comes back to me and says "okay we are going to send you for bloods, today and wednesday, but we dont hold out much hope given your track record" Im like WTF...seriously thinking about going private ------------- http://lilypie.com">

i dont intend to, she avoided me when i went to do the bloods though....all i thought was "chicken sh*t"...so more bloods on wednesday and we will go from there

i know she has never lost a baby, i also know that she is pretty thoughtless, as in speaks before thinking; I also know thats its really unprofessional, which is why when i see her on wednesday i will be demanding an apology and once given it will all be forgotten.

I would definately make a complaint Kaz. After all you've been through, the last thing you need is someone assuming that heartache is assured. Whether or not you've had a miscarriage yourself, when you're a nurse you have a duty to ensure the things you say are appropriate.
I would be so upset!! Very mad for you! |

| Yep that is unreal. In her line of work she needs to be very sensitive and not make comments like that. There are plenty of other prople out there busting their gut to find a job who whould never even dream of saying anything that unprofessional. I would deffinatly make a complaint. |

And the truth is she really doesn't know whats going to happen. Plenty of people have successful pregnancies after multiple miscarriages. Telling you not to hope is like saying "why don't you just give up already" Grrrrrrr. So unbelievable coming from a health professional. That's horrible. All the best for the next few weeks, even if she's not holding out hope I sure am with all the things you and your doctor have learned about your BP condition etc. I thought your DH had sperm count issues, if so congrats to him LOL! -------------  |

Good grief! How unprofessional of her! Good on you for being willing to stand up to her and make her eat her words.
