Hi,

I was just wondering....

I have read that at 10 weeks some ladies can feel a "blowing bubbles" sensation in their tummy. Im 11 weeks now and I dont think Ive felt anything like that. Is it normal not to feel anything at this stage?

Ive still got sensitive breasts, hungry, going to the toilet all the time and very little morning sickness. Do you think I have anything to worry about??

Hey, I don't think you have anything to worry about at all. I understand many women don't feel anything until closer to 20 weeks so you are fine.

It is one of things that can vary from person to person.

I don't think you've got anything to worry about... most second/third/whatever time around mums don't feel baby moving until 15 weeks at the earliest - and that's only because they know what to look for. First time mums often don't definitly feel baby moving until 18 to 20 weeks or even a little later sometimes!

There's this funny limbo period between morning sickness ending and feeling baby moving... sounds to me like you've just entered it! You are fine!

You have nothing to worry about!! I think ten weeks is really early!! I can't remember exactly but I didn't feel Quinn moving until about eighteen weeks. A ten week old baby is still quite small!!

Maybe next time you see your midwife you can ask her to listen to the heartbeat (which I would think she will do anyway!) if you are really worried but I am sure all is well!

I felt Zaara move at 13 weeks and only because she was a active baby....still is!!!

Dont worry you will feel the baby soon enough.....

And I agree with Anna ask your midwife to see if you guys can listen to the heartbeat...or even have a scan, but you still have all the pregnancy signs so I am sure all is well.

10 weeks sounds really early to me, but I do remember reading that somewhere when I was preg with Maya. I've never known anyone to actually feel baby that early tho.

I second (third fourth whatever) what everyone else has said. I was closer to 18 weeks I think the first time I really truly felt Joey move.

I have only just started feeling some movement now and im just under 20wks. So i won't worry to much. I have also heard that second time mothers can feel their baby moving alot earlier than the first time around.

I just remembered when I stopped having morning sickness at about 14 weeks but before I felt movement I had a phase of not feeling pregnant at all as I didn't show until later either and it was awful but I guess normal. It made me all panicky and I was really glad when I could finally feel bubs move.

I went from feeling really sick to nothing and then started feeling baby around 15 weeks then it all stopped so went into a bit of a panick but was told this was because baby had probably moved position. Like everyone else said 10 weeks is to early to feel anything so I definately would not panick.

also have to remember that baby has plenty of room to kick around in there till it gets nice and big. it's a bit like a single person living in a mansion... lol.. so only every once and while (if you're really lucky) you'll feel it while it's still little.

At 10 weeks, an average baby is only 27-35 mm crown to rump, which is pretty tiny! You might have a placenta at the front of your uterus, which can mean that you won't feel movements until later than normal, too. I think I first felt my bub move at about 17 weeks - and now I have feet which stick out my sides and really obvious butt shapes which push out from time to time!
