It is just my stage of paranoia I am sure but there seem to be a LOT of miscarriages happening at the moment and I need something to show me that is doesnt always go bad.

Please can someone, anyone, post that they have never had a MC and that they have had multiple pregnancies.

My logic is that I had an easy run of No 1 and sooner or later my luck has to run out. The logical part of me knows that MOST pregnancies turn out all right but my irrational pregnant side can think of nothing but.

I have had two pregnancies and two healthy babies, so it does happen I think when we are on here we get a slightly biased view of pregnancy and complications etc as there are just so many people on here IYKWIM.

I'm not that lucky, but my mum had four babies and no miscarriages, and my grandma had five and no miscarriages.

Had one healthy baby, two m/c and am now pregnant. So even if you do have a m/c it doesn't indicate that you won't go on to have another healthy pregnancy.

nzpiper I felt exactly like you do now with my second pregnancy. I had such a great pregnancy first time didn't take long to get pregnant and pretty smooth sailing. When we got pregnant second time it was a first try baby and several very close friends and my sister both miscarried around that time. I felt like what makes us so special, why do we get to have a wee baby when these other people can't!! I was so worried about going to the first scan cos I thought something would be wrong.
We now have a wonderful nearly 2 yr old and a beautiful 10 week old baby boy!!!!
I can understand how you feel but I am sure you will be fine! Try and enjoy these early weeks while you can still move around easily to play with your wee man!!

All the best!

Not quite none, but 3.75 children from 5 pregnancies

Missed misscarriage between #1 and #2, no problems since... this is my third pregnancy in as many years, and everything is on track for another healthy baby boy at the end.

My mum had four children and no miscarriages, my sister and three SIL have all had pregnancies with no miscarriges. If there have been a lot recently, and it does seem that way on here especially, then surely that means the odds are in you favour.

Here's a hug for ya

i was sure with my 2nd, then 3rd then 4th pregnancies that i would miscarry with the stats how they are- luckily i have had 3 (almost 4) pregnancies that have been sticky.
i did have something happen to me when i was 18 and not long been in a relationship with my husband where i believe i may of miscarried- had a positive pregnancy test in july which i never got confirmed and did anything about as i was pretty scared- had a few days of spotting then in august i had a massive bleed with clots, it was painful and i was soaking tampons and pads frequently. on my 10th day while in holiday in chch i went to a&e during the night freaking out that i was dying or something and the doc didnt give me any answer treated me awful because i was in tears... and told me i wasnt pregnant and to go home. the bleeding stopped slowly over that day to pretty much nothing but it was the longest period i ever had.

my mum miscarried twins between me and my sister concieved me a month or so later, i have always felt pretty sad about that knowing that if it wasnt for the miscarraige i wouldnt be here

I have a DD and another baby due soon and no m/c. I'm 36 and was worried of the increased risks with age but conceived very quickly both times and the worse thing I've had is morning sickness!!

i've been blessed to have 2 pregnancies and 2 kids......my mum had a m/c after me but then went on to have my brother

it's totally normal to have this paranoia about things going wrong, especially in early pregnancy

I'm glad it's not just me that was thinking there had been a run of them lately.

until i m/c last year i had 2 kids from 2 preganancies.

it doesn't always go wrong, but then i found that for me, expecting that it wasn't EVER going to go wrong wasn't all that helpful either.

Am sure you'll be all good NZpiper

Well I am trying to be philosophical. There is no reason for it to go wrong and there is nothing I can do if it does. I have one beautiful boy so that would help. I think it would be terrible to MC your first pregnancy.

Eek, I hope my gremlins don't ever think that . If it helps Mum2emj, whilst our m/c baby was definitely very wanted, I wouldn't be without my beautiful, precious little gremlins, and without having m/c I would never have bee lucky enough to have them.
