Hi all,
This may be a bit stange. I am only early as well but would like to be as prepared (hahaha) as i can be.
Does anyone know a new zealand website or something like that which has a list of stuff that you should either get or think about getting. I mean things like highchair, cot etc. It's the little things i'm scared of forgetting.

babycity has cards in their stores of everything you can get and you can just tick off what you need and then have an idea of what little extras you can get! they also have a website... babycity.co.nz (i think!)
You can never start shopping to early!! Just with newborn things I wouldn't get too much in the way of clothes and nappies and some babies are born around the 8lb mark and go straight into 0000 clothes (or 000 - forget baby sizes now!) but on the other hand they can be 6lb and be in prem for a while... but is a good idea to stock up on nappies in the bigger sizes (small and medium - prob 1 - 2 newborn to start with)
Keep an eye out for sale's as well (farmers, baby city, baby factory etc) and also trademe!!
Congrats and good luck!

one thing, when you go to a shop page, naturally they want you to buy as much as possible, so they put a few things on the "need" list, that you don't neccessarily need. Like changing tables. Some people swear by them, other people (like me) have two kids and never bothered. And remember that shops will always be open, you can go and get anything that you forget. Re: cltohes, especially if your child is the first grandchild, or even just the first child for you, you will be given numerous clothes, therefore you may wanna only buy a few in smaller sizes and try and get most in bigger sizes, but remember to consider what season it will be when your child will be fitting. I have a lot of cuter newborn clothes in heavier hotter fabrics. hence taine can't wear them! (leftovers and hand-me-downs so I'm not too bothered)
