Bugger, well at least i know what it is, off to see doctor next week, then as they cant do anything till bubs is born, will just have to carefully watch my diet.
Saw midwife as well, and she is happy with everything, and she is certain bubs is head down already, but her spine is against mine, so off to buy a swiss ball to help my pelvis tilt and turn her.

Bugger about the gallstones, but at least now you know what's going on! Did you get a prescription for some pain relief?

No pain relief as im not in pain unless i have an attack, and i now know that when i have an attack to go to the doctors or A&E for a shot of pethidine (sp).
so hopefully no more attacks till bubs is born

Its interesting, but my attacks never happen after i have eaten anything, or if they do its about 2hrs later, so we can not pinpoint what is causing it.
haven't had an attack for a few weeks so hopefully no more attacks.

Hi Katrina,
Had gall stones and gall bladder removed 2004. Raw apple can be a common one to set off an attack , that some people don't realise, even the slightest piece, also gassy foods ie cabbage etc... Bad, bad attacks. Had to wait a year on the waiting list because couldn't afford to go private at the time. Had to go on complete fat free diet, after being referred to a dietician in hospital, after another severe attack one night, while waiting on the waiting list.
I didn't have an attack straight after I ate either, it was mostly after I had gone to bed at night.
Couldn't even imagine what it must be like while pregnant! But after I had mine taken out (what a relief!!!) We decided we would have another baby, after having our youngest 13 years prior. After all child birth was nothing in comparision to gall bladder attacks.
Also bubs is in the same position,, was told by my midwife to sit forward when sitting down, with pelvis higher than knees, or sit with chair back to front, leaning on back rest.
Safe pregnancy and speedy recovery!

i had mine taken out too - way before kids tho - pizza used to set me off. i had it for ages before it was diagnosed, my dr told me i needed to have a sh*t. i went to an emergency dr one night for something diff and i mentioned it and he sd gall stones, sure enuf he was right. if you know what sets off an attack for you you should be right, and getting them removed is easy peasy, its all keyhole surgery. all the best.

No experience with gallstones but Maya was posterior (spine to spine) which is very common for first babies. The swiss ball thing is a good idea, I used a beanbag, I would kneel leaning over it and watch TV. Like James says too, on all fours gives bubs maximum moving space.
Maya was still posterior when I went into labour but born anterior so she turned around at some stage.

well i now have a swiss ball, and i borrowed a chair from mum and i sit on that backwards as much as possible, and as far as i can tell bubs has actually turned, we went swimming yesterday and ive been spending time on the floor on my hands and knees,
my midwife told me that i would know when she turned by where the kicks where, and if they were in the front of my stomach her back was to mine, and if they were on the side by my ribs her back was against my stomach, thankfully the kicks have started to be under my ribs. :)
