Hi all, Went to my midwife today and she tried to listen to see if there was a heartbeat and YES there was. It was a healthy, strong heartbeat. It was amazing. Wish my hubby was there to hear. It was so reassuring!!
We go for a nuchal scan on thursday so a bit nervous about that.

Hmmm I remember seeing the heartbeat on a scan I cried....And every time I heard it I cried....It was the most wonderful thing.

I didn't believe i was pregnant until i heard bubz heart beat and then for some strange reason i still had doubts and it wasn't until i had my first scan that it really sank in. Nuchal scan, i think that's the 1st one i had too. They take measurements from the back of baby's neck, i was nervous and i still dont know why they did it cos' i thought it was mostly for older women - like 40+.... -------------

My midwife gave me the option of a nuchal scan, I did it because way back along the line in my family there was a case of downs syndrome, so i just wanted to be sure. ------------- http://www.bump-and-beyond.com/">

Yes it was amazing hearing the heartbeat for the first time. I wish I could have listened to it longer though... Im hoping that we will see baby a lot better on Thursday when we have the scan. Im nervous cos Ive been looking on the net what abnormal scans look like and scared that I might see the abnormalities. Will let you all know anyway how we go. Yeh was abit weird in the begining to hear 2 little hearts beating away but when i got used to the fact that i was having twins it was good to hear them and know everything was ok.
I didn't have a nuchal scan because with both my pregnancies i was to far along. I'm sure everything will be fine try not to worry about it to much. ------------- Kelly, mother to 4 wonderful children. http://lilypie.com">

I was always worried that there wouldnt actually be a baby there even though I had tested positive so wouldnt look at the monitor until I had been told there was a baby. They say dont have the scan if your not prepared to find out if something is wrong but how can you really prepare yourself for that!
