jake got a blues clues toy which is really cool. It is supposed to teach him colours, but i was listening to jake play this morning and it had the most random colours.
"red, green, blue, yellow, marigold (!), chartreuse (!), vermillion(!), violet. (not so bad I guess)" what ever happened to purple and orange??? |

Those are pretty random colours. When Xanda was born we got given a Baby Tad toy, Xanda a bit young for it at the moment but loves to listen to it singing and watching the lights flashing. ------------- http://www.bump-and-beyond.com/">

There is one spec episode of Blues Clues which has all these colours on it!! It teaches you how to make each colour!!

I saw that episode ( ) It was pretty strange the colours they were coming up with!
I thought vermillion is a bright orangey colour...? if I go by my sister's paint tray anyway |

Were they showing how to make the colour Magenta because that is what Blue's friend is called? Because I remember seeing that episode and Xanda not even old enough to watch T.V. The Go show did look a bit ridiculous to me. But Maya was entranced. They were singing some song about getting dressed and putting undies on, which is right up her alley atm - she loves getting dressed and she has a bit of an undie obsession. ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

OMG I loathe the party animals - cant stand them infact hate them lol. The boys arent to keen on them too. geez they change things around alot - playschool used to be on at 6.30, then they changed it to go show - paris thought both were ok, but i think it's just a time filler till hi-5 is on. she doesn't mind rescue rangers but never gets to see all of it before we have to go. paris never gets to watch the other stuff unless she's sick and we stay home. but she likes clifford. she hasn't watched dora too many times but has an obsession with her nonetheless.
btw - i saw that blues clues episode too.. i thought it was kewl - cos i learnt something from it... te he he ------------- Janine and her 2 cool chicks, Paris & Ayja

My faves Hi Five and Blues Clues, i hate PArty Animals but could go either way on The Go Show. Quite partial to clifford too! I use to have a Franklin book when I was at primary, you should of seen my excitement when I found out that it was on T.V, my partner hates it though and if he is home won't let me watch, so thank goodness he has started back at uni. Well I watched playskool this morning and it really is not like the old one, but one thing I liked was that they had a lady doing sign language on there and I tought that was great. ------------- http://www.bump-and-beyond.com/">

I not sure why we spelt it that way, I just liked it that way and it a way of showing ppl that it is not just derived from alexander which is what everyone asks me. Nobody spells his name right they all think it is Zander or Xander. Spose that comes with the choice we made to spell it that way, we just have to deal with ppl thinking it is the other two ways. Oh and ppl also ask me how to pronounce it.

Hey there Bec and fairsk8 ppl always spell my jaidyns name wrong too as I made up the way its spelt. I always liked the name but not the way it was spelt. Most ppl spell it jayden or jaiden if they remember that it has an I in it!!! His dad didnt like the way I spelt it as he said ppl waould spell it wrong all the time but i love the way it looks and its different.

the go show is hilariously bad. A few months ago they were talking and singing about the digestive system
the girl holds up a doll, David. David strips down and sits on the potty "look, David's done a poo! It's smelly isn't it? Do you do poos?" lovely! |

Yeah both the girls on the go show are bad singers, I watched them this morning. And then while they are singing they were jumping up and down and after the song you could hear them puffing really badly into their microphones. They weren't even jumping up and down for that long. Lewis used to be really funny saying "oh jake loves clifford" and making me put it on. Meanwhile jake didn't give a crap about clifford, but guess who WAS glued to the tv???
