Alize has had his bottom molars sittting under his gums since January waiting to come thru. They have been causing a lot of trouble for him so 3weeks ago while investigating I saw that they were starting to cut thru the skin......YAY I was thinking, it should be all over soon.......Hmmm wishful thinking!!

His molars have pierced the skin at 2 corners of each of  the HUGE molars and that is it. They havent moved at all in 3weeks and I am wondering if I need to take him to the GP?? Is there anything they can do?? My poor boy, they are creating havoc for him. The daycare have noticed his molars too and asked me about it.

GAH I dont know what to do.

I Need your help!

Islas took ages to come through too, and yeah they do look HUGE! I wouldnt think there is anything the GP can do, other than offer pain relief.

Aww... poor Alize! He's normally such a happy little guy too I can't offer any help, as I have one of those dreadful kids who doesn't even seem to notice teething, but to both of you!

Awww hugs. Elle eye teeth have been done that...cutting then going back down since Jan. They are causing so much grief. I think you have to wait it out but perhaps chat to the dental nurse at your kids school????

I agree with Fiona, he should probably be seen by a dental nurse.

I am sure it was leish who had an old trick for cutting teeth....or was it emma....either way it involved a leaf of some kind....?????

there are old wives tricks to it too...

we are cutting the double ones and they hung out under the skin for ages...all thru i think except one where only one corner thru...and they have been causing grief at night...she cries out like in pain in her sleep once or twice a nite at moment...

One of Mercedes molars is sitting like that too, I think I mentioned it on the phone the other day. Molars suck coz they have a bigger surface area and aren't as "sharp" as the other teeth so are harder to cut. I don't have any tips tho unfortunately

Thanks for your replies Ladies.

BS, Leish's mum gave me some tips at Noahs birthday and it involved helping the gums which I have been trying too.

I might ring the dental nurse, they move around schools but I have the schedule at work so might find where she is and go in and see her. His gums are so swollen and red too, the molars are double size of his gums

My girls never had trouble teething so dont feel bad Alia I had a lucky run too with the others. I just feel for my wee man.

Ok so from left field...which is where we hang out.
I have a GF who gave her son a polished stone to chew on literally....worked wonders for them...I suppose if you are willing to try anything?

Thanks Amy I might try that. I have tried all sorts of things on his gum but I like the stone one and so will he, infact if its not polished the better in his eyes lol.

aww *hugs* poor little man! sorry i have no advice as I haven't experienced teething yet, but I thought you could use a hug

Oh, and just to add...I'm so not looking forward to Miss K's teeth cutting!! Just having them sit under the gum line has been bad enough

you know those hard rusks you can get from the supermarket - perhaps he can bite on those? I reckon they are so hard to chew it just might do the trick ??? Not sure how they are with his allergies though. (perhaps even freeze them before hand to make them harder and cooler on his gums)
