My waters broke this morning at about 5am, and I've been having contractions ever since. Looks like the waiting is finally over and my baby is on his way! I don't know why I'm so calm, but I am. I should probably be doing other things rather than internet stuff, but it keeps my mind occupied.
Handy tip no-one mentioned to me: If your waters break, it's gonna be messy (sorry, TMI). Be sure to have at least 5 pairs of underwear on hand, and LOTS of maxi pads. It's not easy to find maxi pads at 6am when the only place open is the local service station, and they only stock tampons. Wish me luck! -------------

Mason Louis arrived at 12:15am on Feb 23rd via emergency C-Section. I laboured for hours (from approx midday to midnight) on a synctocin drip but never got dilated more than 8cm, so they made the decision at midnight to intervene. I've just spent 5 days in hospital adjusting to motherhood, and I'm pleased to say that despite a few initial problems with feeding, things are going really well :)
Thanks for all of your well wishes! Oh, and here's a photo :D
