Crap! But less than 5 is officially negative so you're heading in the right direction.

Surely you could assume that its going to be 0 soon. I am meant to go for another test just to make sure its all going down but I dont think I need to do it till it gets to 0. We are pretty sure mine was complete so why wouldnt it go to 0?????

Staceys was ectopic though so they have to make sure that it returns to 0 as it is more complicated than a normal miscarriage and more likely to have retained pregnancy cells (or whatever the horrible medical term is).
I haven't had any follow up bloods, gp was happy that I had miscarried naturally and didn't say anything about doing any more bloods.

Hope its 0 at the next one so you can start putting it behind you and stop feeling like a pin cushion

I had the pin cushion feeling today... went for iron level blood test and the nurse (phlebotomist?) had me all ready to prick and then had to go get something - I can't remember what - anyway she loosened the strap while she ducked out and then forgot, so when she plugged in the needle nothing happened!! Neither of us could tighten it one handed so we had to start all over again So I understand your feeling!!

Mine must go to 0 and be followed to 0 because like cuppatea said it's ectopic.

Sooo many complications.. it's possible that it can go down this low and then shoot back up. And if it doesn't go to 0 I have to have the op to get rid of that whole tube/ovary because it's likely whatever remaining cells are there causing my hormones not to go to 0 will become a form of cancer.
