Well he had his health check today, (yes his 8month check 1 month late whopps)
He's a healthy boy 11kgs (well just over) 74cm tall (i think cant find my book) BUT the problem is his head, only 44.5cm. His last check it was 44cm.
So either their tape measures are all wrong or it's an issue, also we noticed his soft spots closed, either that or we just can't find it.
So I'm freaking out, we have to take him back in 6wks to get remeasured, then again at 12months if it hasnt grown much or at all then we have to go for a referral at teh hospital.
He's not slow in development, he's starting to let go when walking, he's talking and does everything he's emant to for 9months but she said if his head does stop growing then it can cause serious issues.
I have to take him for an ear check tomorrow, she thinks his 'reflux' was to do with more a possible ear infection, so I'll take him up to docs and might ask them to have another feel just incase we jsut couldnt find it today.
I just feel like crying now

My brother and I have "little heads". Is his odd shaped or is there others in the wider family with smallish heads but tall?

we all have normal heads as far as im aware of, i looked through my plunket book and haleighs and ours allg rew at a normal size.
nath thinks he mightve felt the fontanel (thats what its called eh??) but he's not 100% so he thinks she mightve just not felt right (we hope).
he looks in proportion to me if his head was any biogger he'd look odd he may be chunky but he not that chunky
thanks everyone. i hope its jsut a wonky tape measure, or just an off few months, cause i know boo went through a few months of not getting any taller or gaining weight

At Spencers last visit his head had shrunk.....lol she just said they must of measured it wrong last time as when you look at the chart at 9 months it measured where it should for him to be tracking along the same line. Does that make any sense, so if you look at the 6 weeks, and 3 months and then the 9 months they all line up but the one taken at 5 months is above the line so she thinks it was wrong when he was measured at 5 months.
Good luck at the docs today.

well the doc wasnt overly concerend he said the CHNs have a habit of overexagurating lol
but he said he would be concerned if it wasnt moving at all, his vomiting is a throat infection.
so on amoxil (fingers crossed the penicilin reactions dont hit him (df had an allergic reactiong as a kid).
the doc said (which made me feel real good) he looks like a baby his age should, nice and plump (my kids love this doc he's awesome so worth the money)
he did say though if we have any problems like still vomiting/ doesnt get better etc call hima nd he'll sort him a paed appointment to check him over again

Yeah sometimes a doc opinion is best.
The nurse prob measured in a differnet place to last time which could mean a near same reading
