I had a cold during my pregnancy and was told to check with my midwife regarding remedies. One I was told to take was garlic oil tablets, I eventually found teh rik with these is to take them before or while eating, if I took them after food then they repeated on me and made me sick.

Apparently pineapple juice is good for sneezing and itchy eyes, I tried this when I was pregnant not sure how successful it was but the amount I drank meant I had no problems keeping my fluids up (and panodol to help with the fever) which is all my GP recommended.

Hope your feeling better soon.

Active manuka honey is a great idea. You could also try the forticold lozenges they are manuka honey based and unmedicated so safe during pregnancy.

Also eat/drink lot's of things high in vit c: hot blackcurrant, grapefruit juice, oranges etc.

Chicken and vege soup with garlic is also a great idea.

Lots and lots of sleep. Don't bother even getting out of bed except for a bath/shower and to have your meals.

I hope you feel better soon.

I had this a few weeks back and took panadol for the fever and honey/lemon drinks. And had lots of rest...was the best thing!
Take care of yourself, hope you are feeling better soon

Yep Panadol is fine and you can take throaties and also there's a nasal spray you can use but the name escapes me so you may need to check with your pharmacy.

Definitely use some panadol to keep the fever in check if you have one. My first aid kit says 37.7 is the top of the normal range.

I'm just getting over what sounds like the same bug. not nice at all.
