Hi there, I have the BUBBA MOE sling which is from Australia. I got my mum to get it and send it over because they say it can be used till they are like two years old. I found it very awkward with a newborn though she didnt sit properly in it. I bought the Natures sway Sling a few months ago and have used it since Neosha was about 7 months old and its great! It doesnt slip on my shoulder, I dont get a sore neck like I do with the bubba moe and its perfect for this age where she just sits on my hip and it holds her in place. Alot of people don't really like natures sway (which is why there's so many "excellent condition" cheap ones going on TM) If I was buying one I'd probably go for a dulce & zoet, or a unido sling (depending on what fabric you prefer) for cheaper NZ made ones. -------------

Oh yeah, and if you're looking for an older baby/toddler a patapum would probably be a better idea, alot more comfy, but also a bit more expensive. -------------

I had a Nature Sway for the gremlins (actually I still have it but can't find it  ) and it was good. I was never able to be 100% hands free tho, I always felt like I had to have one hand on bubba.
I am looking at either a D and Z or a Little Kiwi Sling merino one for this bub. -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

| Hi, i have a "hug a bub" and love it, totally hands free and bub is close to you and fully supported. Plus because the weight is distributed evenly due to the way you wrap it over your body you dont get a sore back or anything(this is a wrap style sling)and it can be worn various ways depending on bubs age, its quite pricey around $150 but there is also the "moby" wrap which is alot cheaper and pretty much the same thing. |

Lol I didnt know people didnt like the natures sway slings, I only bought one because I didnt like my bubba moe and all my friends had Natures sway and swore by them. Didn't mean to sound nasty there (just hoping it didn't seem that way) I know some people really like them, but alot really don't, and I don't know of it's worth the risk. Of course if you like them, it's great as 2nd hand ones are insanely cheap on TM.  I guess you could always buy a local 2nd hand one and if you don't like it onsell it.-------------

To be honest I did wonder why there were so many on TM especially the (new and near new ones) kinda makes sense. If you're a sewer, there's a good website with instructions for how to make the different types of slings. It has pattens for the different types of slings.
