My brother has them quite bad and he uses witchhazel and said it did really help. Also my mum said holding a hot/warm flannel there is good, or a bath with epsoms salts in it help to shrink them.
Also, make sure you eat a lot of fibre or ask your midwife if you can use a stool softner that will help to stop them getting irratated by your BM's.
I know they really suck, I have suffered from them a bit while pregnant, but Im eating a lot of fibre so I have been fine latley. It really does help.

Lactulose is really good....tastes bit yuck but that combined with LOADS of water and muesli and fruit every morning...should help.
I wont even go into what happened to me with the first pregnancy and things down that end!Was horrible and prob main reason it took so long to have another bub!!!

I have one that bleeds from time to time, and when I say bleeds, I mean it literally pours I found a warm bath is really soothing, and using wet wipes instead of toilet paper after #2's coz they are softer and less abrasive.

Wow fab idea, you can probably get wipes with witch hazel!
It freaked me out the first time, I thought "sh*t I'm bleeding, oh wait.. that bloods coming from SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!"

Have that problem as well - even before I even got pregnant.
Drinks heaps of water as well, I'm drinking 2 -3 lires a day and that definitely helps facilitate the BM and prevent further stress on those parts.
Calendula Cream is another good remedy - all natural soothing cream

I have tried all sorts of things 'cause I was getting them before I even got pregnant...with constant bleeding and lots of pain. I even had a dream about them the other night...LOL...some nurse had told me I would need them operated on and took me straight into surgery...
Benefibre is safe during pregnancy - but to be honest I'm not convinced it worked that well for me.
I am living on canned peaches and pears (I'm not a huge fruit fan but like these!) and lots of water...oh and dried apricots are probably the best for me in terms of food.
Also, I have a witchazel cream that you just rub on (a bit gross I know but at least its direct rather than hoping you put it on the right place on the pad. I think this has provided some relief at least.
And...I read somewhere that pelvic floor exercises also help - and I think they have helped for me some of the time.
Um...I think those are the only things I've used - hopefully something people have suggested works!

Kelpa, I do want to know...not because I'm gross or anything, but I have had TERRIBLE problems in this area, and am worried about what will happen when I get preggers again. I know for sure, I will need to have them operated on when I'm done with babies, and my health insurance will cover this after July next year...

I can answer this from my experience - way TMI sorry! But I had one before getting pregnant, it did get a bit worse during pregnancy but what really made it bad was the actual labour - the strain of pushing out bubs made it heaps worse. So if you can, get them under control before the birth. I second the drinking heaps of water. Kiwi crush is supposed to be good too? I ate heaps of kiwifruit.
